                Yixing tapped lightly on the door to the dance studio, standing in the doorway with a shy smile on his face as he waited for Jongin to acknowledge him, lost in the familiar beat of the music and the practiced choreographed steps.  His younger companion didn’t stop immediately and he didn’t bother to interrupt him, too pleasantly entranced by the way he moved and focused on the sound of the notes emerging from the stereo.  He could practically watch him all day really…

                Eventually, the music came to a close and a barely winded Jongin turned to smile at him, long arms swinging at his sides loosely as he came down from the mild endorphin high.  “Yes, Xing?” he inquired, keeping the distance between them though he let his eyes wander up and down his older companion’s frame appreciatively.

                “Ah, right,” Yixing smiled, shaking himself to stay focused on his task.  “You’ve booked the room for a little while longer so I’m here to practice with you,” he shrugged, stepping forward as he threaded his fingers together behind his back and tilted his head to the side.

                “Right.  Our duets and all that,” Jongin commented dryly, allowing a smirk to grace his lips.  “No other reason?” he added with raised brows, eyes narrowing perceptively.

                Thoughtfully, Yixing hummed to himself and shrugged.  “Well.  There is sort of this guy who dances here that I kind of like to see every now and then,” he admitted, gesturing with his hands to either side of him as he stepped closer, further diminishing the gap between them.

                “Oh?  He must be pretty handsome then,” Jongin suggested, taking another step forward so he was almost close enough to touch the older male.

                “You could say that,” Yixing laughed lightly, hopping into the last bit of distance between them, still keeping his hands to himself.

                Jongin chuckled in smug amusement.  “Yeah, well so are you.”  His hand rose to brush the backs of his fingers against the dimpled cheek, feeling the warm skin under his touch.  He leaned forward and murmured, “Care to dance then?”

                “I’d love to.”

So... I've been having way too many Kai x Lay feels lately (especially since seeing them dance together in Two Moons and Spectrum) and they seriously don't have enough love on this site so here's my first contribution to this pair!  I hope you enjoy!  XD
