macchiato-'s note:
One of a kind, an absolutely one of a kind piece of art. the boy atop an ivory tower gives you a fairy-tale-like feeling as soon as it kicked off the start (and God knows how much we love fairy tales). The way it was written, the way the characters were portrayed and the way the story was plotted are all … magnificent. We have Snow White and her seven dwarfs, we have Cinderella and her long lost pair of shoe, we have Rapunzel and her long, golden hair falling from the tower, and dear we have the princes charming waiting on the line. In the boy atop an ivory tower, we merely have Byun Baekhyun and his one and only songbird he named Chanyeol. He’s a boy without sight, the latter’s a bird without voice. Their tale started the day Chanyeol was brought home by Baekhyun’s father; make yourself clear as to how it ended.
(+): If you’re a fan of tales, this story is just the right one for you (but of course not if you happen to dislike tragedy). jbmaunier provided you with a wide range of vocabularies and a tone that would remind you to the books your mother read during your childhood days. Characters were perfectly portrayed and developed despite the fact that this story is just a mere oneshot. The ending was what I personally like the most from the entire passage, but we have different taste so why don’t you click on the link and see if you like it the way I do?
(-): I did say that the boy atop an ivory tower is a fairy-tale, but nowadays tales aren’t always wrapped with a happily ever after. Just a quick spoiler to support the tags: it’s a tragedy. It’ll mess with your feelings so if you can’t handle angst, this is not your best choice. Other than that I do think that we’ve found another masterpiece that certainly needs more recognition.
