effleurage.

Description

The dancing petals of the cherry blossom tree begin their careful descent to the ground stained in crimson with an innocence that belongs in a different place, a different time, a different world.

As delicate pink meets the blood of the rebellion, its essence is instantly consumed with darkness and foreboding, and perhaps the naive woman isn't as purehearted as she seems.

Chapter 1: I FINISHED READING ITTTTTT :)
Whoa. I have to say that the beginning impression I got differs greatly from the impression I was left with after I finished. The beginning really was like a utopia. I really love how you characterized Victoria here because she was what really portrayed the message of your story (WHICH I LOVE <3). Utopias may seem to be perfect, but the corruption of time and the painful reality reveals something much, much different. What's funny is that I just wrote an essay this morning and the message I was conveying was kinda like this o•o mindblown haha. I really love your analogies/metaphors because they're just so poetic and you know how much I'm a er for those. And that ending... Beautiful. It ended so wonderfully with victoria herself 'destroying' her own utopia. It's like jinri almost /knew/ what the painful truth of reality would make victoria rebel against herself in a way. Haha I'm probably over-analyzing this haha. Wonderful as always Jessica! :D

Chapter 1: So prettyyyyy /cries.
Hello fellow roundtable mate /waves/ this was so pretty. I think you did the cliffhanger part really well. I'm not usually a fan of cliffhangers but I thought it really matched the whole psychological genre. Hope you get through to the next round! Good luck!

Chapter 1: Wow this is just amazing! Really enjoyed this from the beginning to the (cliff-hanger) end haha :) Your take on the concept of reality vs. dreams/imagination here is really fresh, I honestly haven't read anything like this before. I love how the whole idea of time is played with here and how the surrealism of it all kind of eludes Victoria until the end, or somewhere close to it at least. And your descriptions are stunning ^^ I could practically picture it all before me :)
All the best for the contest btw!
