"Don't you want to know why I cried?" Jongin asked curiously as Aeri handed him a bowl of steaming hot porridge for him to eat.   They both sat down, opposite each other, spooning at their food.   Aeri stared back at him, cocking her head slightly to the right and replied plainly, "Sure I do. I'm a curious creature, just like any other human being. But honestly, I can live without knowing it, so it's not a big deal."   Jongin chuckled lightly, and said, "Well then, I guess that means you won't be offended if I don't tell you, right?"   Aeri smiled back in return and shrugged as she let the food run down . Jongin took that as a yes, and started to gulp down his food too. It was then he realised how hungry he was, and her cooking skills were definitely a million times better than his. Honestly, he had wanted to tell Aeri everything, spill out all his troubles and his feelings to her, but something stopped him.   She already had such a troubled life, telling her his problems would be another burden for her to carry, this was something the considerate boy didn't want to see.   "So, have you agreed my offer?" Jongin asked thoughtfully.   Aeri stared at him, and replied softly, "I honestly don't know."   Jongin cracked a sad smile and replied, "You don't have to think any more, Aeri. It's a benefit for the both of us."   He noticed her confused and troubled look, and continued, "I need some company, and you just happen need to hide from someone. Isn't that perfect?"   Aeri finally gave in, her continuous contemplating was thrown out the door.   "Okay then, I'll get my stuff tomorrow." ---------- A week passed, and something between Jongin and Aeri changed.   They grew closer physically, but further apart emotionally. Maybe, it was because they were both mentally insecure, not wanting to reveal anymore of themselves that they already had. They kept a promise, that they wouldn't tell anyone about them living together, and they wouldn't tell anyone about their secrets, their breakdowns, and their past.   The pair became quite good friends, knowing each other's likes and dislikes, and the topics were always lighthearted. Never, not once did they mention about Jongin's breakdown, or Aeri's stepdad. It was like a mental pact they had, to make sure not to reveal too much of themselves.   But it wasn't long until Aeri got a glimpse of Jongin's vulnerable side, once again.   "Are you busy tonight?" he abruptly asked her, catching her off guard as she switched the television off.   She shook her head immediately, an action that Jongin had expected, since she d

Chapter 5: This story is really good! But it was kind of abrupt when it suddenly jumped to 5 years later. Then what happened to the mental girl? I mean, she couldn't have possibly been sent to the mental hospital again, right? She didn't do anything mental. But this story was still awesome regardless. Good job!
