Give Me a Chance
12 + 1 = 13 WolvesLuLi stared at him for what seemed like hours. She had a quizzical look on her face as she studied him. She watched the
way he shifted in his seat and averted his gaze when he realized she had been watching him. She watched as he tried to
distract himself with his cell phone or the magazine that was in his lap. She watched as he looked at her out of the corner of
his eye. He was self-conscious with all the staring.
“Will you stop?” Tao threw the magazine down on the ground dramatically and glared at the girl in frustration.
“What?” LuLi asked innocently, she decided to have some fun with this.
After LuLi had learned that Tao was bound to her for the rest of her life after that kiss, she kept her distance for a while.
However, she still watched him from afar, getting more curious and curious as the days went by. She watched him as he
practiced his martial arts and became fascinated by him in a way she had never been. She had lived with this boy for a
year, but never really noticed him before, never TRULLY noticed him. She began to admire him. He had a hard life, yet he
was still here. He was still with his friends and he was still living on.
“Stop staring at me.” He crossed his arms and pouted his lip slightly. He looked like a little kid who wasn’t getting what they
wanted. LuLi burst in to laughter, throwing her head back and clapping her hands hysterically. Tao raised an eyebrow at her
in confusion. “What the hell are you doing?”
“You’re cute.” She giggled and crossed her legs, clasping her hands on her knee. She smiled as she watched Tao blink in
surprise and blush awkwardly in his seat.
“Shut up.” He muttered and stood up to walk away. He didn’t know why she was being like this, but he thought it was unfair.
He was now hers and all she was doing was making fun of him.
“Hey kungfu panda.” LuLi called as Tao started walking away.
“I’m not listening.” He covered his ears with his hands.
“AB style boy.”
“Shut up.”
“Hey!” LuLi shouted once more, hoping to get the stubborn boys attention. “Want to go on a date with me?” Tao stopped
abruptly and blinked in surprise. He removed his hands from his ears and spun around. Cocking his head to the side in
confusion, he stared at the girl who was now grinning. Did he hear her right? “Well?” LuLi asked after a few moments of
silence. She sighed and stood up walking over to the stunned boy.
“eh?” he finally muttered out. His voice cracked a little out of nervousness. “Seriously?”
“No I’m just joking.” LuLi watched as his face dropped and his eyes darkened. He actually believed her! Did he not hear the
sarcasm she had used? “Yes seriously!” LuLi smacked him on the arm and he jumped in surprise. She giggled at him and
walked off. She turned around and started walking backwards so she could see his face. “Be ready by 6?”
“Uh, sure…” Tao fumbled with his words, still in shock. He was confused. What was she doing?
“1, 2, 3.” Snap! The echo of fingers snapping together could be heard throughout the room as the lights . The man
walked past a chair, throwing his jacket on it and walked to the window across the room. As he walked he ed the
first two buttons of his dress shirt and rolled up his sleeves.
G-dragon looked at his reflection in the window. He watched as his face formed a scowl. He was angry. His patience was
wavering. He hasn’t been this angry in the longest time. He smoothed back his hair with his hand, still glaring at his
reflection.
“You are testing my patience.” He spit at the reflection in anger. He thought back to the night’s previous events. Just the
thought of what she did made G-dragon slam his hand against the window in frustration. She dares to test his patience. She
dares to challenge him. What can she do?
GD started laughing at the thought of it all. How foolish this girl is for thinking she could beat him. How foolish he himself had
been for trying to offer help to her. “Oh how funny you are my dear.” GD raised his head to the ceiling laughing out loud as
loud as he could at the ridiculousness of her bravery. “Just you wait.” He said as he gasped for air and looked back at his
reflection in the mirror. “Just you wait…” he repeated and touched his hand to his face in the reflection. “I’ll make you so
miserable you will drop to your knees and beg for mercy.”
GD laughed once more before reeling back and then full force punching his fist through the window. The adrenaline was
running quickly through his blood. He stared at the broken window and chuckled slightly before looking at his hand. There
was nothing. Not even a scratch. He had just broken a window with his bare hand and his hand had not even a spot of blood
on it. He smiled and then looked at the outside night. “Just you wait LuLi, your time is coming to a close.”
Flashback
“Oh come on Tao.”
“Hell no.”
“Please just this once.”
“No.”
They were at Lotte World for their date. Obviously it wasn’t Tao’s idea. He’d rather just go to dinner and go somewhere with
less people, but no. LuLi wanted to go to a crowded place with cheap food and loud piercing noises.
At the moment, she was trying to get him to wear a cute kitty cat ear headband but he wasn’t having any of it. He stood his
ground and refused the whole time until LuLi gave up with a sigh and put it back where she found it. Even though he didn’t
want to wear the headband, he couldn’t help but smile as she walked passed him with a dejected facial expression.
“Let’s go. I’m hungry.” LuLi swatted Tao in the stomach and walked off. She wasn’t going to let herself give up. She knew
how stubborn Tao could be, but she was going to prove that she could be even more stubborn when she wanted to.
They ended up at a small food stand with spicy rice cakes. Ordering two servings and then sitting down at an empty table,
the two stared at each other. LuLi raised an eyebrow as the boy leaned back and crossed his arms.
“How about a bet.” The boy proposed to her.
“Go on.” She said, curious.
“Whoever eats these the fastest will get one wish from the losing person. So if I win I get one wish, whatever wish I want. If I
lose, I need to grant you a wish.” LuLi was smirking. She was hoping for a normal date. You know, walking around, talking,
laughing, playing games and winning prizes while eating cotton candy together. But then she remembered she was on a
date with a wolf. Normal dates will probably never exist with this boy.
“Deal.” LuLi reached her hand out to shake his, smirking the whole time. Tao chuckled and shook her hand.
“Don’t cry when you lose sweetheart.” Tao pulled his hand back and picked up his chopsticks, ready to beat her. LuLi
readied herself and stared at him hard in the eyes, letting him know she wasn’t going to lose easily.
“Ready. Set. Go!” The two attacked their plates of food, shoving the spicy rice cakes in their mouths. It wasn’t very attractive
to watch as the sauce was all over their faces and they were eating like wild animals. Tao chuckled quietly as he ate, he
wasn’t about to tell her that he was going easy on her. He’s a wolf, he could have been done already, but he wanted her to
feel like she at least had a chance. He glanced at her and saw a tear slip from her eye at the spiciness of the rice cakes.
Her eyes were watery and her nose began to run, the heat of the food becoming too much. Yet she continued to scarf down
her food, barely even chewing on it, just swallowing it down.
Tao took that time to decide whether he should win or let her win. He wanted to have that wish, but he was curious about
what she would ask of him for her wish. He ate his food, keeping pace with her until the last few bites when he finally made
his decision.
“I won.” Tao put down his chopsticks and raised his arms in the air, a grin on his face. LuLi groaned and dropped her
chopsticks, whipping her face.
“No fair.” LuLi grumbled as she blew her runny nose in a napkin.
“Now for my wish.” Tao leaned back and stared at her, thinking about what he’d want. He only had one wish, so what could
he use it on? He pats his chin with his index finger and thought for a few minutes. He could ask for a kiss, but he didn’t think
she’d let him. He could make her do something embarrassing in public, but she’d probably try to kill him later with her tiny
fists of furry. What should he wish for?
“Fine. You won, but I want a rematch sometime. I feel like you cheated in some way and I want justice.” LuLi gasped as she
looked at her shirt and saw some red spots on it from the sauce. Dabbing a napkin in her water, she started to clean it off,
hoping a stain wouldn’t form. “You know you-“
“My wish is for you to give me a chance.” LuLi stopped moving and slowly looked up at him. All of her attention was now on
him, waiting for him to continue. Tao leaned his elbows on the table and rested his chin in his hands. He watched her,
studying her reaction as he continued on. “I don’t want you to feel pressured to be with me. However, I would like it if you
gave me a shot.” He shrugged his shoulders and his lips. “I don’t mind if you don’t end up liking me, but please give
me a chance to try and make you love me. If you end up not wanting to, then I will back off.” His intense eyes stared at her,
waiting for her reply.
Before she could answer, a new figure appeared beside them. The two looked up at the new person and their eyes
widened at the revelation as to whom it was.
G-dragon.
“Look who’s here. The beauty and the beast.” GD laughed to himself and motioned his hand between the two of them.
“However, which one is the beast?” he smiled at LuLi as he said this. The girl glared back at him.
“What do you want?” she spat at him. She hated how he just shows up whenever he feels like it. Like she wanted to see his
annoying face.
“To talk to my favorite monster of course.” He smiled down at her and held out his hand for her to take. LuLi looked at his
hand and then up at him in annoyance. “Don’t worry, you and wolf boy can continue your creepy date, I just need a few
moments with you my dear.” The girl sighed in defeat and swatted his hand away. She stood up on her own and walked
past him. He chuckled to himself and followed after her. “Feisty.”
The two of them stood in a fairly empty area where they could talk privately without anyone overhearing them. LuLi crossed
her arms and stared up at the man in front of her.
“What do you want G-dragon?”
“I just wanted to inform you that before you start shoving your tongue down that boys throat that you should remember that he
is a WOLF.”
“Yeah, so?” LuLi rolled her eyes at him, like he cared what she did.
“Not all of you are exactly on good terms with the wolves, don’t you remember?” he crossed his arms and swayed back and
forth on his two feet, watching her reactions. “Doesn’t that thing inside of you want to kill each and every one of them with her
own-“
“Stop.” LuLi closed her eyes and heaved a heavy breath to keep herself calm. “I know the risk. But I know that there has got
to be a way to-“
“No.” when LuLi opened her eyes, GD was inches from her face. He pushed her back against the wall and put both his
hands on either side of her on the wall. “These are MY wolves. I will be the judge of when each of them die, not you.”
“what-“
“I am in charge of them; I can’t just let a mere girl kill them off one by one.” He cocked his head to the side and watched her
reactions. “However, when I do need to get rid of them, I can always have you do the dirty work for me.”
LuLi slapped him hard across the cheek. She couldn’t believe him. What kind of twisted guy was he? WHO was he? GD
huffed after the impact of the slap and backed up, now standing a few feet away from her.
“You listen here you piece of crap” LuLi spat at him, she hated this man. “I will do everything in my power to make sure that
these boys never get hurt again. Not by you…or by HER. EVER.” She pushed his chest with all her might and watched as he
stumbled backwards a few feet. “Back off and get the hell out of my life before I let her loose to kill you for your own sorry
sake.” And with that she walked away, not wanting to deal with him anymore. In the back of her mind she knew that what she
just did would come back to haunt her. Maybe pissing him off wasn’t such a good idea.
