Truth
Café LoveOn the tenth day, I didn’t expect to see Hyun Woo anymore. After all, he left early on the eighth day, with a woman, and didn’t even show his face here yesterday.
“Jenny?” the familiar low voice said.
I turned around from wiping the table, surprised to see him standing behind me. I glanced at the wall clock. 6:18PM. He’s early.
“Sir?” I managed to choke out.
“Call me Hyun Woo. I believe you know my name by now,” he smiled.
I looked away, blushing.
“Can I talk to you?” he asked.
I looked up into his brown eyes. “I-I don’t know, si- I mean, Hyun Woo-ssi. I’m kind of worki-“
“Yes, she can talk to you!” Hana interrupted from the counter, “Jenny-ah, I’ll take care of the shop.”
I glared at her as I took off my work apron and went to hang it up at the hooks near the counter.
“What are you doing?” I hissed at her.
Hana continued smiling. “Trust me, Jenny, you won’t regret this.”
I let out a sigh and followed Hyun Woo out of the café and into the streets. We continued walking in silence until I realized that we were at the nearby park.
“Are you okay, Jenny-ssi?” he asked once we settled down on the bench.
I nodded silently.
From the corner of my eye, I watched as Hyun Woo began to fidget in his seat.
“Jenny-ssi,” he began, “would you go out with me?”
