His birthday passed a month ago. He was officially 28 and feeling like an old man. He was almost over the hill after all. At least in his eyes.

Turning the page of his text book, Yifan scrunched his nose at the long, unintelligible words they contained. He had transferred into law studies a year ago, and it has since proved to be much more difficult than thought otherwise. Then again he was a graduate student; of course the curriculum would be more advanced. Especially since it was an accelerated program that would hopefully have him graduated and into a court room by the time he was thirty.

“Are you alright hun?” a pretty brunette asks from next to him. It was his girlfriend of two months, Yoona. She was thin with shiny eyes, and shiner hair. She was the fifth girl that year, but what she didn’t know wouldn’t hurt her.

He sighed, “Yeah I’m fine. Just tired from all this damn studying. How about you? Learn anything important?” She was also a law student; that was how they met. “Yup. I’m almost done for the night. Want to go grab a bite after?” she smiled his way.
