“I’m fine Cheondung-ah. Don’t worry.” Seungho answered. He felt relieved that Cheondung always notices him. He knows that Cheondung cares for him too. “I’m sorry if I took off while you were asleep. I didn’t want to wake you up. I know that you’ve been deprived of sleep for the past few weeks.” Seungho would only smile at what Cheondung said. He patted Cheondung’s head and answered “It’s ok. You know I’ll never get mad at you.”

Cheondung gave Seungho a satisfied smile. “If we win this one, let’s rest for a while. We’ve been going to a lot of competitions that we haven’t really taken a proper break.” Cheondung beamed at Seungho’s words. Looks like Cheondung has been wishing for that time-off for a long time.

Seungho couldn’t help but smile at how they were interacting. It was one of those rare moments that he and Cheondung interacted and it felt like time slowed down. As if the world stopped turning. Cheondung’s smile seems to be the most wonderful thing in the entire world. If only he could lean in and kiss him… If only he could take Cheondung for himself… If only…

“Cheondung-ah!” Joon called out.

If only Joon wasn’t there.

“Yes Joonie-hyung?” Cheondung turned away to face Joon. Seungho’s smiled slowly faded as he watched the couple become lovey-dovey again.

“It’s hard when you can’t tell the person you love how you feel huh?” G.O. nudged Seungho while he stared at the couple who was now teasing Mir.

Seungho huffed and nodded. “Yeah… But it’s worth it.” Seungho said. “Is it really?” G.O. shot back. Seungho looked at G.O. with a wrinkled forehead. “Of course it is.” G.O.’s eyebrows raised, not believing what Seungho said. “What?” Seungho defensively asked. “Nothing. I just don’t agree with you.” G.O. said with a stern voice.

The crease on Seungho’s forehead doubled with what G.O. said. “Why don’t you agree? Is the person you love not happy?” he asked. G.O. looked at Seungho and rolled his eyes. “Obviously. It’s a stupid cycle.” Seungho tilted his head to the right trying to figure out what G.O. means. But of course it’s hard to figure out someone who’s had a poker face ever since.

G.O. chuckled and said “Never mind.”

Seungho sighed with disbelief. What did his spiritual twin mean?

“Now that I think about it… How come you still don’t have a girlfriend? You’re always pushing me to get one yet you don’t even have one yourself.” Seungho teased. G.O. looked at Seungho with his poker face and answered “Well, I’ve been in love with someone who’s too dense to know that I love… hi… her…” G.O. was arguing with himself right now. His face looks like he wants to go to the restroom and do number 2.

Seungho sighed, “Then tell her that you love her. If she’s that dense don’t you think you should be straightforward?” G.O. rolled his eyes. “As if you don’t know the feeling when the one you love loves someone else. Do you think I can just risk it and tell her how I feel? Do you think it’s that easy? Our friendship… could be ruined.” G.O. said with his voice sounding like he was defeated.

“I guess you’re right. Well… It to be us right?” Seungho said. “Yeah… Especially because you’re too dense.” G.O. whispered. Seungho didn’t quite understand and so he asked “What?” but G.O. just shrugged his shoulders.

Seungho sighed and stood up then he did some stretching. “Don’t tell me you’re going to practice again.” Joon suddenly said. “We’re supposed to. We’re taking an all-nighter tonight.” Seungho explained. “Tonight?” Joon questioned with total irritation. 

"Yeah. Tonight. Didn’t Cheondung tell you about it?" Seungho asked with the same tone of irritation. All of them looked at Cheondung to confirm about the problem. "I forgot to tell you... sorry Joonie-hyung..." Cheondung said in defeat. "Were you supposed to do something else?" Seungho asked. He was definitely irritated to the core but he just can’t show it to Cheondung.

"We were supposed to go out tonight. Joonie-hyung's acting class has a practice performance and I was supposed to watch it." Cheondung explained. "And why are you pulling another all-nighter? You’ve been at this for 3weeks now. Can’t you at least practice without all-nighters all the time?" Joon complained.

Seungho wanted to just burst and punch Joon across his face and kick him to Pluto or farther. But of course he can’t because Cheondung already answered for him. "Joonie-hyung... the competition is just around the corner. Besides he did say that we're getting a break if we win." "But what about our plans tonight? If your pulling an all-nighter then you won’t be able to watch the practice performance right?" Joon shot back.

Seungho shook his head and sighed. "Well why don’t we all go? If it's that important for you that Cheondung is there... we might as well tag along and watch right? Since we won’t be able to practice without Cheondung anyway." Seungho casually said as if it was the best idea in the whole world. Of course that made Cheondung happy... but not Joon.

"Fine." Joon said. Surely he'll be irritated if his lover and Seungho starts their teasing again. He won’t be able to concentrate on the play if he's going to be busy being jealous.

But Cheondung seems to be happy so he couldn’t help but agree.

When they reached the auditorium, his classmates were surprised to see him with a respectable audience. When they realized that Joon brought the Spiritual twins, Cheondung and Mir, they were all hyped up and ready to perform to the best that they can.

GO and Seungho were also known as the school's Spiritual twins, not just because they were born of the same year but because they go well with each other like peanut butter and jelly.

GO's looks are at par with Seungho's. Talent-wise or Popularity-wise they're still on par. they're both on the same level that everyone admires them.

And then there's Mir and Cheondung who goes next in line with the spiritual twins. Of course that was before Cheondung and Joon became an item. After the two became legal (family and relatives knew), they became the top trend. Although not ahead of the spiritual twins.

Mir was actually on par with the spiritual twins until he got a girlfriend. Well he's still popular but probably behind the couple.

Joon's mates became a bit too hyped up when Joon said that they were all watching. It felt like it was an actual performance than just a simple practice performance.

When the four childhood friends sat on the chairs, the light went out and the play started.

A spotlight slowly lightened up someone on stage. It was Joon.

He danced a slow ballet and Cheondung watched with complete concentration. He didn’t even notice that he was smiling the whole time. And of course, he didn’t notice the pair of eyes that were staring at him. Seungho was also smiling as he took his time to stare at how amazing Cheondung looks. He knew that even though this precious person will never be his... he still felt happy that he's by his side. Even through the years they've remained friends. No. not just friends. Brothers. But never more than that.

Being with the one he loved made him feel at ease. He fought with himself before, wanting to confess to Cheondung but fear overcame him. The fear of losing Cheondung.

Amidst his silent stare at the unknowing person beside him. He was also unaware of the 2 set of eyes who kept on looking at him.

Joon's been glancing at Cheondung and Seungho while performing. He just didn’t want them to start teasing each other again and end up... seeing them with a spark.

When he saw Cheondung concentrated on him he felt really happy. He wanted to smile and show Cheondung how happy he was but he needed to hold it in.

This practice performance needed to be perfect since his colleagues forced him, saying that this was an important performance because the Spiritual twins, Cheondung and Mir were watching.

But even though he was happy that Cheondung was only concentrated on him. He wasn’t sure he liked how Seungho stared at his Cheondung. He is a bit possessive but only when he feels threatened and Seungho is surely one of those threats. The way Seungho stared at Cheondung made him want to push him off and throw him somewhere else. But of course the other pair of eyes that kept on looking at Seungho didn’t come unnoticed to Joon.

GO wanted to concentrate on the performance so he asked Mir if he could sit away from Seungho before the performance started. But since Mir had something else in mind so he sat beside Cheondung, leaving GO no choice but to sit beside Seungho.

Even though he wanted to concentrate on the performance alone... he couldn’t. The man beside him gave his heart a certain pain that emanates throughout his system. The way Seungho stared at Cheondung hurts GO the most. It makes him feel invisible. Like he wasn’t even there to begin with.

He wanted to look away and just watch the performance but he couldn’t help but look at Seungho.

How he wished that the pair of eyes staring at Cheondung was actually staring at him. How he wanted Seungho to recognize him and acknowledge him. But how will that happen when Cheondung is the center of his world? It’s like forcing the moon to move away from the earth and rotate around the sun instead, it’s impossible. It felt painful to the point that he has given up time and time again.

But he just can’t.

"He'll melt when you stare at him that way." GO whispered to Seungho. Obviously not taking it in anymore.

"Oh... is it that obvious?" Seungho asked. “I sensed death glares from Joon so it’s obvious. Cheondung is the only one who doesn’t notice." GO whispered but mostly to himself especially the last part.

"What?" Seungho asked, edging closer to GO. The way his breath swiped through GO's neck made him want Seungho.

The reason why he can't let him go was that his very being reacted to simple things that Seungho didn’t even notice. Seungho's effect on him was something he could never understand nor explain.

"What did you say?" Seungho asked again. This time making him flinch. Seungho furrowed his brows while looking at GO. "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing. I didn’t say anything ok. Can we concentrate on the show?" GO said with complete defense. Seungho huffed and shook his head, a smile forming on his lips. "Whatever you say GO." GO couldn’t help but smile as Seungho lied his head on GO’s shoulder.

GO looked concentrated on the show while happily giving Seungho a shoulder to lean on.

They all concentrated on the performance when the story came to its . They anticipated it and they felt the emotions each of the actors brought to life. The way they acted while dancing serves as a great accomplishment for them.

Then the finale.

Joon and a girl was about to kiss but the girl suddenly pushed Joon away and turned away from him. Joon held her arm and pulled her back to him. And as she was pulled back, Joon held her waist and lifted her up in the air and the performance came to an end.

They all stood up and clapped for the performers. The performers, especially the girls, were thrilled. The boys were happy that Seungho and Cheondung acknowledged them since the two had already created a name in their school.

The performers asked them to join backstage so they all went there.

Once there, they gave out juice and snacks. They all talked a lot and Joon's fellows were mostly interested at the spiritual twins.

Mir too was popular but since he has a girlfriend, he's restraining himself.

Joon and Cheondung were complimented a lot because of how strong their relationship was and because they were even legalized with their family. Everyone praised them. But then...

"Cheondung-oppa, did you ever like Seungho?" someone asked. Joon's hold on Cheondung's hand tightened and he knew that his boyfriend didn’t like the question. However he knew it was rude to just leave the question hanging and they'll surely feel awkward altogether.

Cheondung just smiled and answered, I like Seungho-hyung a lot because he's the best brother I’ve never had." Joon looked at him with a smile and shook his head. Joon felt lighter that his boyfriend took the question lightly. He even chuckled. The others were impressed with how well he answered the question.

But someone just actually died inside. 'Brother?' Seungho thought.  'Just a brother huh?' Seungho pretended to smile and be merry at what Cheondung answered but Mir and GO knew that it was fake.

GO suddenly changed the topic and made sure that no one can ask random questions again... but he failed.

"It was a big revelation to know that Joon fell in love with a guy. But we'll be happy if you two end up together!" one of the girls said. GO suddenly blushed at what she said. This gave Seungho the opportunity to divert his mind and tease the others. He put his arm over GO's shoulders and snuggled closer to him. GO stiffened at the sudden contact and Seungho noticed it. It made him want to tease GO more. So he wrapped his other hand over him and said "we'll be coming out soon." the girls squealed in excitement while some of the boys were nudging each other

GO laughed and said "don’t believe what this friend is saying. He’s just too tired to think properly." while trying to push Seungho away. Seungho fought back and tightened his hug and tried kissing GO. GO covered Seungho's face and tried pushing it away, although a part of him wants to pull him closer and kiss him.

Now everyone was squealing in excitement and were crazily asking them to kiss. GO was already as red as a tomato while the couple and Mir were just laughing. And something unexpected suddenly happened.

The wonderful maknae suddenly nudged GO and of course his hands slipped from Seungho's face and since Seungho was pushing his face forward...they kissed.

Everyone screamed in giddiness. Everyone was so excited to witness that wonderful moment and they all had Mir to thank for. Or at least most of them.

GO and Seungho's eyes widened as they both looked at each other. Both blushed and then they averted their eyes to the maknae who was bowing down, accepting the praise everyone gave him.

They both glared at the maknae and pulled him in between them. Seungho held him tightly and GO tickled him.

Everyone laughed as they watched the tickling session.

I love you..." Joon suddenly whispered to Cheondung's ear. Cheondung suddenly looked at Joon and smiled at him. He gave him a peck on the lips and said "I love you more".

This didn’t escape Seungho's eyes so his hold on Mir tightened. Mir didn’t know if he was going to die of laughter of broken bones.

Either way, he knew he was going to die.
