Chapter 13. The Misunderstanding

            

                            

 

 

 

Aom's P.O.V

 

 "Tina? Where are you?" I called for her walking downstairs.

 

"What is it Aom? I'm in the kitchen." Tina responded to me.

 

I finally reach downstairs and saw Tina ACTUALLY cooking for the first time.

 

"Are you.....cooking?!" I ask in shock

 

"Haha.... yeah...what's the problem?" Tina ask

 

"It's just that...I never thought you would ever cook actually." I said walking toward Tina

 

"Well...I do..but not often..." Tina said

 

"It does smell good." I said as my arm wrap around Tina's waist.

 

"You kids are so sweet. Always sticking with each other and never letting each other out of your eyes." Tina's mom said

 

I abruptly pull my arms back right next to my side. "Good morning, ka" I said

 

"Mom... you're making Aom shy." Tina said still focusing cooking

 

"I was just teasing you two.....and you're cooking Tina?" Tina's mom said

 

Tina sigh, "Yes mother. I am cooking." Tina said

 

"Well, I see...it must be a special occasion then?" Tina's mom ask 

 

Special occasion? Why does Tina's mom look so surprise to see Tina cooking? Doesn't she cook a lot? 

 

"No no. There is no special occasion...I just feel like..cooking for Aom.That's all." Tina said

 

"Good morning everyone, Ka." Mean greeted us all 

 

"Morning Mean. Did you slept well?" Tina's mom ask

 

"It was....fine." Mean said

 

"Where's Tina?" Mean said coming down the stair

 

"I'm in the kitchen! " Tina yell

 

Mean finally reach downstairs with a confuse expression.Acting like she doesn't know why Tina's would be in the kitchen.

 

"Tina...what are you doing in the kitchen." Mean ask with a tense expression

 

"What else would I be doing? Cooking of course." Tina said while trying to set the food down

 

"But....you......wouldn't cook....after...I...." Mean said getting interrupted my Tina

 

"Mean......Let's not talk about it...ok?" Tina said with a shaky voice

 

"Don't you remember what you promise me?!" Mean ask with tears in her eyes

 

"NO....I DON'T! Whatever I've promise you was over!" Tina said getting angry

 

I motion toward Tina and took her arm to calm her down

 

"Tina....please...calm down.She's your best friend." I said getting worry

 

" Aom is right Tina.You shouldn't get mad at Mean, she's been your childhood friend for ages." Tina's mom said

 

"Mom.....can you leave us for a moment? Just us three?" Tina trying to calmly ask

 

"You 2 resolve this.Aom....please calm Tina down." Tina's mom said and went outside

 

"Tina...you said you would never leave me.You said you would always love me.You said you would always take care of me.You PROMISE you will only love and care for me...and ONLY cook for me." Mean said crying and hold Tina's hand

 

"Mean....I DID said that....but...that was the past...." Tina said

 

"What about last night? You said you still care for me and still love me." Mean yelled with tears

 

Still love her.....care for her....does this mean Tina still has feeling for Mean? Why so many things has happen after I move into this house? Was it....possibily my fault?

 

"Mean....I do still love and care for your.....but as a friend.Not because I still have feelings for you.The person I really love and care for (as a girlfriend) is Aom." Tina said taking her hand away from Mean.

 

Tina had finally calm down.I've never seen her this angry before.I've never seen her so hurt.And I've never seen her agrue with someone like this.Was THIS her lonely side? Was this how it was like when she was a kid? How many painful memories has she had? How many hardship had she endure? I don't want her to think of the painful memories again....be I was curios to know what HAD happen.

 

" Were all those promisis fake then? Were you lying to me all that time?" Mean ask

 

"I wasn't.I really did love you.It was YOU who didn't choose to love.You didn't choose to accept me. YOU rejected me." Tina said getting angry again

 

"Tina! " I said tugging on her arm

 

"Aom.We'll talk about this...ok?" Tina said

 

"Ok..but...just calm down....ok?" I ask

 

"I am...it'll be fine" Tina said and patted my hand

 

"I didn't have choice.I did have feelings for you! It's just that I just don't want to disappoint my parent.I just wanted to finish my study and come back for your." Mean said

 

"It's to late Mean....we're just friends.You weren't there for me when I was down.The person who was there for me was my parent,Boy,and Aom....she cared for me.She accepted who I REALLY am,she loves me for who I am.And we truely love each other.I'm sorry Mean." Tina said

 

"Let's end it here Mean.Stop this conversation right now." Tina said

 

Mean didn't respond and went outside.Tina and I heard the engine starting and soon it faded away.

 

"Tina......"

 

"Aom....let's eat...before the food gets cold." Tina said

 

"But....." 

 

"I know what you're trying to say.....she'll be fine.She probably went to see Boy." Tina said sitting down

 

"I'll go get your mother." I said

 

"Mrs. Jittaleela? Are you here?" I said peeking into the living room

 

Then I saw the note on the table.

 

There was something urgent happening at the company and Mr.Jittaleela needed my help.You kids go ahead and and eat. I know when Tina is mad she will be in a bad mood.Please excuse her. I will be home later tonight.

I put the note in my pocket and walk back to the table.

 

"Your mom went to the company for an urgent matter." I said sitting down near Tina

 

" .....Yeah....I know." Tina said

 

"Come...let's eat"  Tina said

 

We ate in silence.We finally finish our breakfast and Tina said she had a surprise for me today.

 

"Tina.....why are we here (Airline Ticket Company)?" I said

 

"We're going to America." Tina said

 

"...Ahhhh.....America??!!" I ask stuttering a bit 

 

"Yeah" Tina said

 

"Why all the sudden?" I curiously ask

 

"Well.......last time I broke my promise to spend a vacation time for you....and lately...you look depress so I just want us to travel and have fun." Tina said taking my hand and walking up the counter to wait in line

 

"I'm still quite surprise you still remember that promise." I

 

"Well....How could I forget my promises to my girlfriend huh?" Tina said

 

We walk up to the counter and Tina order 2 tickets to travel to America.According to the date.....we will be leaving in about 5 days....around night time.

 

"Sooo.....does this mean we have to go shopping?" I ask

 

"Of course....We'll have to buy some winter cloths since it will be cold.And I want our first Christmas to be as special as it can be." Tina said and tap my nose 

 

"You're making me shy." I said

 

"Give me a second, I go to make a phone call." Tina said and starte making a phone call

 

I accidently overheard on conversation with Boy

 

"Hey Boy...it's Tina." 

 

"Fire away.Whatcha need?" 

 

"Well this morning...Mean and I kinda had a fight with each other....and"

 

"And you was just wondering if she came looking for me?" Boy said

 

"Yeah"

 

"Well....she is here with me...Don't worry. I'll take care of her and make sure she comes home safely." Boy said

 

"Thanks buddy.I owe you again.I'll Talk to you later.Take care" Tina said

 

"No problem.Anytime." Boy said and ended the phone call

 

"Sorry to make you wait.Let's go" Tina said

 

We left and went to Chiang Mai Shopping Mall.It took us a few hours but it was so worth it.

 

"Did we forget anything else?" I ask

 

"Nope..Suitecases,Winter cloths, sunglasses, jackets, shoes, hats, scarf , and sleeping cloths." Tina said

 

"....what..." 

 

"If we're missing anything, we can buy them when we reach the U.S." Tina said

 

"I guess that's it.Let's go home.It's getting late." I said

 

"I think we should go some place for dinner first than go home." Tina said

 

"I guess. What about your parent?" I ask

 

"Don't worry about them so much" Tina said shaking me by my shoulders

 

"And why can't I?" I said

 

"BECAUSE the person you're suppose to worry about is me." Tina said getting mad

 

" Sounds like someone is jealous." I tease Tina 

 

"........."

 

"Ooooiiiiii! Don't be mad at me?" I cutely said

 

Still no answer from Tina

 

"How about I give you a kiss......? Will you talk to me than?" I ask

 

"Alright." Tina said facing towards me closing her eyes

 

Did she thought I meant a "REAL" kiss? This will probably make her disappoint again. *giggle" 

 

"I'm waiting for a kiss from my princess" Tina said with her eyes still close

 

I lean towards her cheek and gave her a kiss.

 

"I wasn't expecting that kind of kiss." Tina said

 

"Well.......you didn't said what kind of kiss it should be." I said

 

" At least I got a kiss....Better than nothing." Tina smiled

 

 

Tina's P.O.V

 

 

At a Chinese Restaurant 

 

 

"So how's the food here?" I ask

 

"It's quite good."  Aom said

 

"Glad to hear it.I was afraid you wouldn't like it." I said

 

"Why would you think that? I always love trying new foods.But not to much either." Aom said

 

" Well.......this is actually my favorite restaurant." I said

 

" Maybe we should go here and eat more often than." Aom said

 

"I only go here on special occasion....and going out with my special people." I said

 

"That's so sweet of you Tina." Aom joyfully said

 

"I was wondering......is Mean doing ok?" Aom ask

 

"She's with Boy...so don't worry about her." I said, starting to lose my appetite 

 

"Tina....I'm sorry for bringing it up...but I was just worried.If I make you lose your appetite than am sorry." Aom ask holding my hand across the table

 

"It's fine.Just....don't worry about it." I said patting her hand gently 

 

We started to finish our food and left.We got home a few hours later and brought our stuff up our room.

 

"Where's your Mom, Dad, and P'Air?" Aom ask

 

"My Mom and Dad are at the company...and as for my sister....she's traveling again." I said 

 

"Now let's go up into our room." I said

 

"I start preparing things for our trip." Aom said

 

"Alright. Our ticket will be in the desk on the left drawer." I said

 

"Ok." Aom said taking our winter cloths and sleeping cloths in the suitecases

 

"Aom, would you mind getting me my P.J and a towel?" I ask

 

"Here. I already prepare it for you." Aom said

 

I went and took a shower and it was my turn pack my things into my suitcase.

 

Aom was quick with her packing.I wonder what she packed for the trip.I sometime wonder if Aom even loves me.I mean.....she doesn't really show that she was angry when Mean and I had our arguement....mostly when Mean mention that I said I still care and love for her.It just get's me thinking to much.How could we have fallen in love so quickly? Sometimes......I just really doubt our relationship for it to last.Today is enough thinking.....maybe it's just my insecurity.Well....I finally finish my packing so I guess I should go to sleep now.Shopping is so not and easy job...I wonder how P'Air go shopping all the time.

 

*YAWN*

 

I climb into my beed and turn off the light and went to sleep.I was knock out right after I close my eyes.
