Extra Chapter: A Fruity Quarrel
DecisionsAs he saw her preparing for dinner in their kitchen, the corner of his lips tugged into a smile. He quietly and carefully walked towards her before giving her a hug from behind which surprised the girl in turn. After planting a loud kiss on her cheeks, he cooed,
“I’m home~”
Suzy turned to her side to give a warm smile to Sehun as she replied, “Welcome home.”
“Appa’s home,” Sehun said as he gently brushed Suzy’s protruding tummy. He then released her from the hug as he asked, “I haven’t seen Jongin and Hana. Where are they?”
“Hana’s in the garden, playing,” Suzy answered as she continued preparing.
“And Jongin?” Sehun asked again.
“Jongin?” Suzy asked back and Sehun notices how her expression suddenly changed. “Who’s that? I don’t know anyone named Jongin.”
Sehun furrowed his eyebrows in curiosity but a smile then played on his lips as he guessed that the two were having a little fight. All that was left for him to find out was the reason behind. He squeezed her hand before saying,
“I’ll call them for dinner.”
“Appa!” Hana called as soon as she saw Sehun and immediately, she ran to him. She squeezed him tight with her short limbs as she said, “Welcome home.”
“Hmmmm,” Sehun hummed giving a kiss to Hana’s forehead before glancing at the man in the veranda. The latter gave him a smile before biting from the bread in his hands.
“Why are you eating bread at this hour?” Sehun questioned.
“Because I have a guess that I’ll be forced to skip dinner,” Jongin answered.
Sehun chuckled before asking, “What is it this time?”
“Same old hormones,” Jongin grunted before rolling his eyes.
Sehun shook his head teasingly before assuring Jongin,“Come on. I’ll vouch for you.”
But then, as they arrived at the dinner table, they only saw three plates placed while Suzy sat acting innocent. Sehun and Hana looked at each other knowingly while Jongin rubbed his forehead in frustration.
“I’ll get plate and utensils for you, appa,” Hana smiled as she tugged on Jongin’s shirt.
However, the awkward silence and the tense atmosphere were too evident to deny. Sehun kept his eyes on the two while they were avoiding contact as much as they can. Hana kept silent too as she just observed her parents. But as if giving a cold shoulder wasn’t enough, Suzy treated Jongin like air. Whenever Jongin reaches for food, she’ll get the plate and offer the food to Sehun or Hana. After fifteen minutes of failing to get any decent dinner, Jongin turned to Hana and said,
“Can you please tell your mom to stop taking all the food from me?”
Hana coughed a little before repeating it to Suzy, “Omma, please let Jongin appa eat.”
“Then please tell this Jongin appa of yours that he should not have deprived me of food earlier.”
Hana then turned to Jongin again as she said, “Appa, she said that it’s the consequences of your earlier actions.”
“Tell her that I didn’t do anything wrong,” Jongin retorted.
“Omma,” Hana started. “He says he’s innocent.”
“Tell him that he bought the wrong fruits,” Suzy replied.
“Appa,” Hana turned
