BoA’s POV

It was raining outside and as I looked through the window I felt a tear rolling down my cheek.

I sighed and wiped it.

Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned around.

“Jae…” I said looking down.

“Sit down…” He said with a calm voice and gave me a cup of coffee.

“Missing your family?” He asked but it was more like a statement.

I nodded smiling sadly.

Sometimes I felt as if he could read my mind and I was scared that he could found out about my past.

“At first I felt like that too…but I have learnt to overcome the sad feeling...

They called me rebel and kicked me out of the house because I didn’t obey their rules,

but in fact I was tired of that kind of life…” He said and drank his own coffee.

I looked at him in disbelief.

Despite I had started working by his side 2 weeks ago,

it was the first time he told me how he ended being the owner of this small coffee shop

when his family was so rich.

“You disobeyed your parents?” I asked.

For me it was unthinkable to disobey my father…

He chuckled a bit.

“I guess the reason why you were kicked out of your house was other…mind to tell me about it?”

I sighed.

Since he had accepted me as a worker and rented me the room upstairs without knowing much about me,

it was fair to let him know a little bit, just a little bit of my past.

“I made a mistake that my father couldn’t forgive…”

“Yeah…I guess he was really strict because since the beginning you were really organized and punctual…”

I nodded and drank a sip of coffee.

“But what kind of mistake was so big that it made your father kicked you out?

It’s not like you killed somebody…” He said chuckling trying to lift up the mood. 

I smiled a bit and he turned to drink more coffee.

But on the contrary I turned to look at the rain again.

‘You are right Jae, that was my mistake…I didn’t kill the one I was supposed to…’
