Haven't read a one-shot this good in a long time. Plot wise, 'speak slow, tell me love' doesn't stood out as a story with intricate or impressive plot. In fact, it has a very simple story on a non-AU setting where Jessica more-or-less was in an unrequited love for Tiffany. There are two things that really stood out for me in this fic. First, the use of short paragraph to move the story along. Usually, this kind of story is not my cup of tea, but the usage of such technique is just right in conveying the emotions for the fic. Second, would be the style of writing. Short sentences, with bracketed words conveying inner thoughts or just foreshadowing comments, deepened the angst level. Another notable thing is because the usage of such short sentences and distinctive paragraphing, that the writing become more succint and not convoluted with unnecessary sentences or overdramatisation. That's also perhaps why the whole one-shot was so easily quotable.

And lol sorry, another angsty one (I have way too much love for this genre).

p.s. yes I am alive lol. Sorry for being MIA for i dont know how long. And I know this list has become too saturated with "certain" pairings but I've been trying to read some other pairings but couldn't bring myself to OTL
