The ride home was slow due to the traffic. No conversation has happened since Baekhyun entered the car. There were times when Suho tried talking to Baekhyun, but he would only answer yes or no, or won’t even answer at all.

This was very unfamiliar to Suho. Baekhyun was always noisy, happy, and sort of a diva, but seeing him like this made the older feel sad for the sudden change.

Suho took out his phone and decided to text Kyungsoo, asking the other what’s wrong with Baekhyun.

Message

From: Kyungsoo

They fought hyung.

From there, even without saying who Baekhyun fought with, Suho knew why the other was acting that way. Suho decided to cheer the other up. Baekhyun was so spaced out that he didn’t realize soon that the direction they’re going wasn’t towards their house.

“Hyung, where are we going?” Suho chuckled.

“Now you notice me.” Suho said teasingly, making Baekhyun feel a bit guilty with ignoring the other. “You’ll see soon enough Baek.” Suho said, feeling excited with his sudden plan.

Baekhyun pouted and decided to not ask anymore. It was a surprise after all.

After of minutes of driving, Baekhyun was asked to close his eyes. The small boy chuckled and just did what he was asked to.

“Don’t open them until I say so okay? We’re almost there.” Suho said. Baekhyun groaned and giggled at the same time.

Baekhyun suddenly felt the car stopping.

“You can open your eyes now Baek, look to your right.” Baekhyun opened his eyes and smiled at what he saw.

It was his favourite ice cream place. He hasn’t been here for a while now, and he sure needed some cheering up. He was about to go out when he noticed a couple by the window.

Of all places and of all times....Why now? Why the hell are you playing with me life?

Suho noticed how Baekhyun had a sudden change in expression. He then noticed what Baekhyun was looking at.

Oh. Suho said. A grin slowly made it way to his face. Maybe it’s time I did something. Suho opened his door and went out. He walked to the other side and opened Baekhyun’s door.

“Aren’t you going out?” Suho asked, pretending not to notice everything Baekhyun was noticing. The small boy bit his bottom lip. “Is there a problem Baek?” Baekhyun stared at the hand Suho gave out.

“N-n-nothing hyung.” Baekhyun accepted the hand anyways. He nervously went out of the car. They walked inside the ice cream parlour and went straight to the counter.

“Why don’t you find us nice seats and I’ll order?” Suho said as he smiled. Baekhyun nodded and quickly searched the store. He wanted a table by the window, but then, they’ll have to sit near Chanyeol’s table and he was the least person Baekhyun would want to see right now. Baekhyun decided to take the table farthest from Chanyeol’s table.

Baekhyun sat and glanced at the couple. They look very happy. Chanyeol was smiling and feeding Sooyoung, while she was laughing and gladly accepting Chanyeol’s offers. Baekhyun was jealous and he felt stupid and pathetic because of what he was feeling.

Wait. Baekhyun thought. Why am I even hiding? He’s the one who said those mean and harsh things, not me. Baekhyun stood up and walked up to the table next to Chanyeol’s. He pretended to not notice the couple and casually sat next to them.

When Baekhyun noticed Suho was looking for him, he raised his hand and started to wave it.

“Hyung!” Baekhyun said, half shouting. Suho chuckled and walked up to Baekhyun. Chanyeol then noticed Baekhyun.

“Baekhyun?” Chanyeol suddenly blurted out. Baekhyun faced him and cocked both eyebrows.

“Oh, hey.” Baekhyun said. His tone was still cold. “Hey Sooyoung-ssi.”

“Oh hey Chanyeol.” Suho suddenly said. “This must be Sooyoung?” Chanyeol nodded. Sooyoung stood up and gave Suho a bow.

“Hello, I am Sooyoung.” She sat back down.

“You guys on a date?” Suho asked. Sooyoung blushed and Chanyeol nodded.

“Hyung, we shouldn’t disturb their date.” Baekhyun gestured Suho to sit next to him. “So, where’s my ice cream hyung?”

Suho handed Baekhyun a bowl of his favourite Strawberry ice cream with a cherry on top. Baekhyun giggled like a child. He won’t let anyone or anything spoil his mood, especially when there’s ice cream in front of him.

“You asked for the cherry didn’t you?” Suho nodded.

“I know you love cherries on your ice cream.”

“I’ll save if for later then.” Baekhyun took his spoon and scooped a spoonful, engulfing the whole spoon filled with ice cream. Baekhyun cringed. “Brain freeze.” Suho laughed at the other’s cuteness.

“Baek, you have a little something.” Suho gestured to wipe his mouth, but Baekhyun only gave him a confused look. “Here.” Suho wiped it using his thumb, making Baekhyun freeze for a second. “There, all better.”

Baekhyun couldn’t help but blush with how much of a gentleman Suho is.

“T-thanks hyung.”

Chanyeol suddenly felt something very unfamiliar to him. When he saw that intimate scene, he felt something in him flip, break, and twist.

“Oppa, are you okay?” Sooyoung asked.

“Yeah, I guess I’ve already had too much ice cream.”

It’s been only a few minutes since Suho bought the ice cream, but Baekhyun already finished his. Suho couldn’t help but smile seeing Baekhyun look so happy.

“Hey hyung.” Suho hummed. “Can you make a cherry knot?” Suho gave him a confused look.

“Cherry knot?” Baekhyun nodded.

“They say that if you can make a cherry knot, you’re a good kisser.” Baekhyun detached the cherry and ate it quickly. “I’ll try to make one.”

Chanyeol chuckled. Baek, always a choding. An image of him kissing Baekhyun suddenly popped in his mind, making him choke his ice cream.

“Oppa, are you okay?” Sooyoung asked. Chanyeol swallowed the remainder of his ice cream and nodded. “You look a little flustered.”

“I’m okay Soo, really.”

Baekhyun, on the other hand, was really serious with what he said. He took the small stem into his mouth and tried his best to make one. After a while, he took it out.

“Hyung, I did it!” Baekhyun said, feeling amazed with what he did. “Does this mean I’m a good kisser?” Baekhyun asked, feeling a bit embarrassed with himself. Suho suddenly had a devious idea.

“Only one way to find out.”

“What do you mean hy-“ Baekhyun suddenly felt a pair of soft lips against his. Suho quickly bit Baekhyun’s bottom lip and once the other’s mouth opened, Suho’s tongue quickly enters.

This made Chanyeol speechless. Seeing his best friend being kissed by someone made Chanyeol feel all weird inside.

“Oppa, are they dating?” Sooyoung quietly asked. Chanyeol heard her, but he didn’t answer. This feeling was so unfamiliar to him. Seeing this made him want to punch Suho for some reason.

Chanyeol gritted his teeth and his hands slowly balled into fists.

Suho suddenly stopped and pulled away from Baekhyun. The latter was still shocked with what happened.

What.....

“Well, I guess it’s true. You are a good kisser Baek.” Suho said, smirking. Baekhyun suddenly felt a hand dragging him out of the ice cream shop. Everything happened so fast. The next thing Baekhyun knew, he was already at Chanyeol’s car. The latter quickly ran to the driver’s seat and started the car.

“Yah! Park Chanyeol-“

“Shut up!” Chanyeol shouted, making Baekhyun flinch.

“Chanyeol....” Baekhyun gave up.

After hours of driving into random places, Chanyeol finally stopped.

“I’m sorry Baek.” Chanyeol sighed. “I’m sorry.”

“Chanyeol, what’s wrong? If this is about what happened between us, then its fine, really. Just don’t mind me.” Chanyeol felt a pang of guilt. Even when he’s hurt, Baekhyun was still selfless.

Chanyeol fell silent for a while.

“Isn’t that why you’re like this?” Baekhyun asked.

“Are you and Suho hyung dating?” Chanyeol suddenly blurted out without looking at the other.

“N-n-no!” Baekhyun quickly replied. He quickly looked away from Chanyeol, feeling embarrassed. Baekhyun didn’t notice how much relieved Chanyeol was after saying those words.

“Then why....”

“Was it about the kiss?” Baekhyun asked. Chanyeol nodded. “I didn’t know why he did that. I guess it was my fault.” Baekhyun started to chew on his bottom lip, making Chanyeol a bit distracted.

Thos familiar lips... Chanyeol shook his head. What am I doing?!?

“We should get back, Sooyoung might be waiting for you.” Baekhyun said, trying his best to hide all the jealousy and bitterness.

“OH NO!” Chanyeol shouted. “I forgot about her.” Chanyeol shook his head in disappointment and quickly drove back to the ice cream parlour.

The two couples have been waiting for Baekhyun and Suho for the past few hours now. Sungjong and Myungsoo have been watching a drama for a while now, and the other couple has been arguing on what to cook.

Sungjong and Myungsoo felt a bit irritated. All they could hear was the shouting of the two. When things became unbearable, Myungsoo suddenly stood up.

“Just cook something.” Myungsoo shouted. “Sheesh.”

The two suddenly fell silent. Kyungsoo and Jongin stood up and moved to the kitchen. Sungjong giggled at how manly his boyfriend was. Myungsoo sat back down and wrapped his arms around Sungjong.

“Now, where were we?” Myungsoo said greasily.

Sungjong rolled his eyes. And I thought he wanted to watch this drama.

The front door suddenly opened.

“Hey guys.” Suho said. “Is Baekhyun home?” The couple shook their heads.

“Is that Baekhyun- Oh, hey Suho hyung!” Kyungsoo shouted. When it wasn’t the person he was expecting, he went back to the kitchen, feeling disappointed that it wasn’t his best friend.

“Where have you been hyung? I thought you fetch Baekhyun at school?” Jongin asked.

“Oh....I did, but he needed to be somewhere else.” Suho said casually. “I’ll go rest for a while okay? Please call me if Baek’s home.” 

Suho walked to his room. He opened the door and gently shut the door. He slowly walked up to his bed and sat down. His fingers slowly touched his lips, as he remembered the kiss with Baekhyun. Suho doesn’t regret anything. In fact, he’ll do anything to have Baekhyun for himself, and the kiss was a bonus.

But, he also feels a bit hurt, because Baekhyun didn’t even bother to fight back to Chanyeol when the latter dragged him. Suho had to drive Sooyoung to her house.

FLASHBACK

When Chanyeol’s car drove off, Sooyoung felt a bit speechless with what happened. Everything happened so fast that she was too slow to react.

“What just happened?” Sooyoung asked. Suho didn’t know what to say, because even he was shocked.

“Maybe Chanyeol needed to talk to Baekhyun.”

“Should we wait for them?”

“Nah, I guess they need to set things straight.”

“What do you mean?”

“I’ll tell you in the car. Come on, let me give you a ride home.” Suho stood up and walked out of the building. Sooyoung followed Suho out and she decided to trust Suho. The man looked very trustworthy, plus, he’s Chanyeol’s friend.

After minutes of driving and explaining, Sooyoung finally understood the situation.

“Oh, so Baekhyun oppa is gay.” Suho nodded. “And got rejected by Chanyeol oppa because he’s not gay.” Suho nodded again. “And now Baekhyun oppa has been avoiding Chanyeol oppa because of this?” Suho hummed.

“Wow, you’re a very smart girl Sooyoung.”

“This is all so shocking. Then why did....” Sooyoung suddenly felt nervous.

“Don’t worry Sooyoung-ssi, Chanyeol won’t break up with you. I guess he just wants to talk to Baekhyun. I mean, they are best friends, and being ignored by your best friend hurts.”

Sooyoung felt a bit relieved upon hearing Suho’s statement.

“Wait, so why did you kiss Baekhyun oppa? Do you like him?”

“I love him Sooyoung.” Suho smirked. “No offense, but Chanyeol’s a fool for not loving Baekhyun.”

End of flashback

Suho threw himself to his bed and decided to take a nap. His eyes started to close on their own, and the last image in his mind was him, kissing Baekhyun.

I’ll do anything, everything, for you to love me Baekhyun.
