Chapter 7: 48 Hours

[Normal POV]

As Donghae led Monique to his room, he couldn't help but blush at the thought that the two were really going to share a room together, therefor, causing a slight blush to cover his cheeks. Just then, Monique turned her head to the older man, noticing the blush and smiled. 

"This must be akward for him- to have a girl stay in his room... but then again he IS the one who offered to share his dorm," Monique thought innocently as she entered a room that was for the most part, clean. There was an occasional shirt or shoe, that was missing its pair, scattered across the floor, but for now, the girl didn't care.

"Sorry about the mess, I didn't expect company," Donghae apologized, placing a hand behind his neck in embarassment.

Monique turned to her roommate for the night and smiled, shaking her head,"It's fine- it's actually cleaner than I expected." 

Donghae then showed her where she could put her stuff, his random collection of books on various things, some on aliens, and then turned to his guest with an uncomfortable smile.

"There's no extra beds right now... but you can take the bed if you want- I'll be fine on the floor," Donghae said while already placing a blanket on the floor for him to sleep on. Monique grabbed the blanket from Donghae and shook her head.

"This is your room and I'm the one bombarding in your space, you get the bed," She said as she was about to sit on the floor.

"No, it's fine, I promise. You're a young woman who needs a good night sleep," Donghae argued playfully.

Monique laughed,"And you're a young man who has a schedule to attend to tomorrow- so you need the bed more than I do."

Donghae puffed his cheeks out as he thought,"You probably want to shower..."

Monique looked up and nodded,"Yeah, I've still got the feeling of sweat all over my body..." 

Donghae and Monique looked at each other as the two chorused a perfect,"EWWWWW."

The two then laughed, "But my clothes are still at the hotel," the girl sighed in frustration. Donghae smiled.

"Don't worry about that- you go ahead in the shower, I'll take care of the clothes." Monique nodded at Donghae's answer and thanked him as she was guided to the bathroom by the fishy.

---------- With Donghae ----------

"YAH~ Who do you think should get the bed?" Donghae frantically asked his hyungs and dongsaes in the dorm.

"Her, obviously, duh, hyung," Kyuhyun murmered from his laptop.

"She won't let me give her the bed. She's arguing that I have a schedule tomorrow and that it's my room, I don't know!" Donghae sighed in frustration.

"Why don't the two of you share the bed, hyung?" Ryeowook asked, walking from the kitchen to his hyung with big curious eyes.

Donghae blushed at the idea and shook his head, making Siwon chuckle, "Go ahead, see if that's okay with her. If the two of you fight about it then neither of you will get any sleep. The worst that'll happen is a no-" 

"And the best thing that can happen is if she says yes," Eunhyuk grinned after cutting off Siwon, who just nodded with a smile on his face.

Donghae thought it through, "Should I?" 

Donghae then remembered that he had to bring Monique some clothes before leaving the shower. He looked through his drawers and grabbed a simple outfit that would be comfortable to sleep in through the night and went to place the clothing ontop of the toilet bowl.

[Monique's POV]

As the water hit my skin, I could just feel my troubles ease away. A lot had happened within the last 48 hours and my body was exhausted emotionally and physically already. Somehow I had managed to find out that Super Junior was the very people I was hanging around with, became their choreographer and now, their new roommate. 

I could hear some shouting from the livingroom, but didn't think much of it.

"How could Donghae just give me his bed like that? I know he's trying to be a gentleman, but still..."

I sighed.

I turned the water off to the shower and opened the curtain just when the door to the bathroom opened.

I looked up, not thinking and blushed as Donghae walked in with a handful of clothes, and looked right at me. I couldn't have gotten more embarassed! I quickly tried hiding my body from his gaze and found myself slipping on the tile. Right before I could crash down to the floor, I felt a pair of arms catch me, I looked up to find Donghae's eyes squeezed shut.

The feeling of his arms wrapped around my body felt strange, yet comforting. I waved a hand in front of Donghae's face to see if he truly couldn't see to find myself sighing in relief.

"Towel..." Donghae akwardly spoke as he covered my body with a towel, eyes still shut. I could feel my blush deepen. "You didn't scream..." Donghae whispered as he helped me up and turned around so he couldn't see me as I wrapped the towel around my body to dry myself off.

I looked up at his back at his comment and chuckled,"Why should I scream? Didn't we come into this world ? Why should I be ashamed and afraid?" Donghae stiffened.

"You...Aren't you afraid to be taken advantaged of?" Donghae spoke confidently to me. 

I thought over for a response, "I trust you guys in this house, if something was to happen, I hope it is all for good intentions and on purpose." I could see Donghae's head nod. His hand then shot backwards to me with the clothes, I smiled and took them, "Thank you." 

I quickly changed into the pair of dark plaid boxers and dark gray t-shirt as I gave Donghae the 'okay' to look.

I could feel my body heat up at the feel of Donghae's gaze going over my body as I stood still for his examination. He stepped closer to me, making me back into a wall, "Donghae?" 

His eyes looked into mine deeply as he placed a hand at the side of my head, his body pushing against mine. I placed my hands at his chest, trying to push him off my body, but he was too strong. 

[Donghae's POV]

I could see the fear in her eyes as I slightly pushed my body against hers, holding her against the wall momentarily. 

"Don't be scared of me please..." I thought as I pushed her hair behind her ears and lowered my head so that I could whisper in her ear.

"Don't trust people so easily, it may hurt you in the future..." I then turned and left the bathroom for my room, leaving her behind to think over what I said.

I opened the door to my room, and Monique's for the night, and laid on my bed, thinking about the encounter I had with Monique. As if she knew what I was thinking about, the girl walked into my room with now combed hair and an expressionless face. I watched her as she sat on the floor, laying her head on her arm as a pillow and whispered, "Good night." 

I shook my head and got off the bed, lowering myself to her level so that her still open eyes could see me. Her eyes locked with mine as I picked her body up effortlessly and layed her on OUR bed.

I then positioned myself behind her, holding her body close to mine in a comfortable position as I whispered to her, "Monique... I didn't mean to scare you.. I just don't want anything bad happening to you because of a reckless action as giving your trust out too easily. I do care for you, more than you think, if something was to happen to you..." I trailed off as I felt her turn so that she was facing my chest.

"Donghae... I understand, you just really.. r-really s-scared me..." She leaned her head to my chest as I felt tears stain my shirt.

"Why did I do this? I'm so stupid!" 

I placed a hand on her head and made her look at me as she bit her lip, something I noticed she did a lot. I whispered, "I'll protect you. But.." I thought something through, "why were you so scared? You said you trusted me..." I watched as her eyes squeezed shut and tears went down her cheeks.

I brushed the tears away. I then lowered my head, kissing the tears away. 

"Why do I feel like this?" 

Her eyes opened, revealing the hazel eyes I had fallen in love with.

"Donghae...I... I was," She spoke softly as she then nuzzled into my chest, mumbling something I couldn't understand.

I wrapped my arms around her body. It's only been 48 hours, but here I was, falling head over heels with a girl I barely met. I pressed my nose into her hair, smelling the familiar shampoo that I knew belonged to me and smiled, kissing her head softly.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," I spoke softly as I hugged her small frame into my body. It wasn't long after that that I felt her arms hug my waist and the sound of her soft steady breathing filled my ears. I kissed the last of the tears away from her cheeks as I started to doze off with my head leaned against her shoulder. 

I wanted so much to just make love to her that night, but that would just make me look like a jerk who was after , she was in a fragile state that it wouldn't seem right, and on top of that, as I mentioned before, it's only been 48 hours since I first met and fell head over heels with this dancer.
