4. When she's your friend and cheers you up

You groaned as you flipped through the channels for the third time. Today was your birthday and you had absolutely nothing to do. None of your friends had called you or even wished you a happy birthday, so instead you had just been lazing around in your apartment, watching tv, but nothing good was on. You finally turned the tv off and threw the remote away.

You were just about to stand up when your phone rang. You looked at the caller ID and saw Erika's name on the screen. "Hello" You answered.

"Hey, listen, i need your help. I'm at the mall right now and i need help some help, but everyone else is busy. Can you come down here and help me?"

"Eh... yeah, sure".

"Great! See you later" 

You hung up and sighed. Clearly all your friends had forgotten about your birthday. But at least Erika had invited you to come to the mall. Only to help her though, but it was better than sitting here all day being depressed.

You got dressed and drove to the mall. Erika had agreed to meet you in front of a small cafe. You stood there patiently waiting as you saw Erika walking towards you. She smiled onc
