I’m sorry. Your class ring was always so big on me. But I wore it always, ever since you gave it to me. It was all I had of you when you went away. I kept fiddling with it because I was so nervous. I dropped it when you unbuckled my seatbelt. You always had faster reflexes than I… but that isn’t why I went back.

What was it I was looking for,
That took my life that night?
You know they found your high school ring
clutched in my fingers tight...

I’m sorry. You said you had a surprise for me. Was it that hard lump in your pocket? I had a surprise for you too. I was giving you a ring; a promise that I would be yours forever. I left it on the floor of your car when you pulled me out. The train was far enough away, and I was fast. I had to get it. It was my promise to never let you go, to never forget you.

I’m sorry. I couldn’t feel anything. I was weightless, and peaceful. Dimly, I became aware of you, of your anguished shouts. Minho, were you crying for me? Don’t cry, hyung. I didn’t feel any pain. There was a bright light, hyung. Was this goodbye? The last thing I saw was your high school ring; the last thing I heard was your voice. Why are you so sad, hyung? We’ll meet again.

Just sweet sixteen, 
and now I’m gone.
They've taken me away
I'll never kiss your lips again
They buried me today...

I’m sorry. This wasn’t supposed to happen. We were supposed to be forever. But you’ll stay here with me. You’ll always be in my heart. I won’t leave you, hyung. How could you think I would forget you? I will always remember you, my Minho. I will always love you. Always… my teen angel.

I worship the ability you have in these two stories to totally cut me open. How can you manage that?

Chapter 1: Gosh this is heartbreaking, more so than the original, which I didn't realize could happen until it did and now I'm a mess. Keke. It is positively fantastic how you are able to fit so much emotion into so little space, but you've pulled it off effortlessly again.

To start, one thing I was impressed by was how each entry built up until the . It starts with the shortest at the very beginning, 'I'm sorry,' and then it grows from there a little more each time, explaining the events until he addresses his death were it reaches it's highest point. Then it ends with the falling action which is shorter, more of a conclusion then continued story, so from a literary standpoint, this was amazing. But the content ... the heartbreak contained within this story should be illegal. Gosh, the way Taemin was so apologetic, throughout the whole piece, even though he was the victim was so incredibly sad. And when it es and he's pleading with Minho that things will be okay was beautiful in it's own painfully depressing way. And then his promising not to leave .... oooh the promising not to leave. It's as if Taemin does not understand the severity of the situation, and how broken Minho is. His innocence shines through so much more in his care and the way that they were on the verge of making eternal pledges of love for one another makes the impact of the death that much more powerful. This was such a gorgeously angsty set of stories, I cannot wait to see you use your ability to control emotions in a longer form. ^^
