As I look at my son from across the table eating his food I remember the first time I met him on a warm summer day like today as cliché as it sounds it felt like I loved him and hated him the first time I set eyes on him not because he did something to me no because he did something to my heart that no one could make me feel

(Flashback)

Five boys where sitting at the table patiently waiting for the one person who needed to show up well four of them because one was ranting impatiently about him not wanting to wait anymore

“Byunghun stop it now he is just running late” Minsoo grabbed his cousin’s arm trying to cool him off

“Yea we’ve been waiting for like ten minutes now where is he” Byunghun huffed in exasperation

“He Is almost here” Jonghyun said apologizing just when Byunghun was about to speak a brunette came rushing into the café his arms dropped onto his knees as he regained his breath

“I apologize for being late” He said bowing

“That’s okay Chanhee come take a seat” Jonghyun motioned for his cousin to sit in the seat next to him Chanhee walked towards him taking a seat he scanned the table locking eyes with a boy he did not recognize as their eyes met the blond boy turned his head away

“Would you like to order” A cute waitress came up to them seeing that Chanhee didn’t have a drink

“Yes a cappuccino please” He said smiling brightly making her blush she nodded walking away a few minutes later the waitress returned with Chanhee’s drink

“Thank you” He said again smiling brightly again making red tint her cheeks

“If you need anything just call” She said directly to Chanhee before walking away

“Are you flirting with the waitress” Jonghyun teased his cousin the two began to argue amusing three boys around the table

Byunghun Pov

I found myself glaring at the waitress who kept stealing glances at the beautiful brunette the way she flirted with him brought a bitterness to my mouth hearing laughter I turned my attention to Chanhee who through his head back laughing my heart started to do something weird it started to pound quickly in my chest it skipped a beat every time he smiled brightly I couldn’t help but keep my gaze trained on him until someone snapped their fingers in front of my face

“What where you staring at Chanhee” My cousin Minsoo teased shaking my head I denied it

“Okay then if you say so” he chuckled when I glared at him

“Byunghun hyung this is my cousin Chanhee” Jonghyun said introducing us the brunette stuck his hand out to me waiting for a handshake when our hands met it felt like electricity went through my body pulling away I gave him a small smile before standing

“I am sorry I forgot I have something’s to do” I said rushing out before they could question me for my change of behaviour Chanhee what did you do me I hate that you make my heart beat so fast it feels like it might burst

(End of flashback)

 Believe it or not whether I wanted to or not I saw his beautiful face a lot after that day we became friends which broke my heart because I fell for him hard 4 months later I confessed my feelings for him ecstatic that he felt the same it felt so right being in his arms I miss him, his warmth, his confronting words, everything about him we were supposed to be a big happy family before I knew it a tear slipped out trailing down my face

“Appa don’t cry” Min Ki looked at me worried, he walked over to me wiping my tears away then gave me a warm hug

“Everything will be okay” He said rubbing my back I let a few more tears slip hugging him tightly it felt like he was here with me they were so much alike it hurt my heart clenched pain piercing through it.

“Come on let’s get out of here” I said paying for the food grabbing Min Ki’s hand we made our way out of the dinner

“Let’s go to the park appa” Min Ki tugged at my hand excitedly I nodded then we made our way to the park
