Background: She was born in Seoul, but later, when she was around 10, moved to Vancouver (alone) for education. Because of this, she has abandonment issues, always thinking that her parents don't love her, and the way they ignore her doesn't help. So her brother tried to fill their parents' spot. About half-way through her first year in middle school, she discovered her passion for music. She joined choir and during her last year of middle school, she tried out for the SM Global Audition held in Vancouver. After getting accepted, she moved back to Korea.
