Fancy cars. Talking about how many girls they've slept with, perfectly styled hair, flawless skin that makes even girls envious.

Rich Highschool boys are all the same. They brag about their conquests, and flaunt their money in the lower classes'' faces.

They flirt and toy with many girls' hearts, like it's no big deal. 'A little fun.' That's what they all say.

 

I wish I had nothing to do with them. Nothing at all. 

 

I wish my family had chosen a different restaurant to go to for my appa's birthday.

 

I wish Kim Myungsoo had never spoken to me.

 

He can try to say whatever he wants, but I know all rich guys are the same.

 

No matter how nice he acts, I've seen it all before

 

It's all part of the "rich guys' guide to scoring with a lower-class girl." I've heard other guys talk about it before.

 

It was all just a bit of slumming for them. To try and see who was easy enough to fall for their traps.

 

No not Im HaeRi.

 

Not me.

 

Ugh. But there he goes again, texting me. Asking just to "hang out."

 

Stupid stupid stupid. (Not him. Me.)

 

For giving him my number. How did that even happen?

 

But he insists that he's different. He wants me to look at things differently, and realize that economic status isn't all it's cracked up to be.

 

He wants me to give him a chance and look through his eyes.

Main Characters

 

Im HaeRi (17 years old)-middle class, 11th grader at Anyang Highschool, fed up with the jerky behavior of her upper-class guy classmates. Hesitant to believe that any upper-class guy, would actually have a decent personality.

 

Park Myungsoo (aka L)-19 years old, 12th grader at Duksoo Highschool, level-headed, laid back, differs from his fellow jock-type and cocky guy classmates, due to a proper upbringing from his parents. Dislikes being automatically labeled as a "rich jerk."
