Lying sideways on my bed, I blankly stared at the wall in front of me. Tears trickled down my face as I felt the moisture build up, in between my pillow and my cheek. My nose scrunches up, sniffling and trying to clear up the stuffiness of having cried as long as I have. Slowly sitting up, I swing one leg over the side of the bed, and stand up. Without taking any concern of my appearance, I slowly walk passed the washroom, and glide down the hallway. I do this every night, falling into a simple rhythm. Am I haunting my own home? I am not dead, although I feel as though I am. Rather, I choose to let myself be haunted by memories.

Sitting down on the living room couch, I slowly look around the room. Beneath the fireplace mantel, I see the empty guitar stand. On the wooden coffee table, I spot two faint coffee mug rings. If I close my eyes I can almost picture what the room used to look like. If I listen carefully I can almost hear his voice singing softly, the gentle strumming of the guitar strings. He always played something soothing when I took my naps. He never questioned it, he never called me lazy or asked why I always had to take a nap at the same time every day. He simply, helped lull me to sleep. That was who Zhang Yixing was. That is how I still think of him, even before he became Lay of Exo.

I knew him before everything, and

I let him go.
