Memories feat. If Only
Backstage and Waiting Rooms
Awesome song with beautiful lyrics--->listen to If Only by Na Yoonkwon
Nam Woohyun only wanted to take one shot, just one. Even though he wanted to forget everything, this heartache, all the pain, he didn’t want to waste himself with alcohol. Even though INFINITE didn’t have any schedule the next day, he already promised himself and also his best friend that he won’t get drunk because of her ever again.
He sighed as he looked up to his ceiling. Why didn’t he just accept her back before? Nobody knew how much he missed her, seeing her face, touching her but why couldn’t he just grabbed her and said everything was okay and he also wanted her back into his life.
It’s because of his ego, simple. When he remembered back on how Soyou had dumped her two years ago, he felt like he couldn’t just forgive her. Sometimes, he felt mad and he would even go and meet other girls to make him feel better but none of them worked out.
There was still Kang Jihyun in his heart.
Woohyun poured a glass of soju and took that one shot. His head hurt, his throat hurt as he squeezed his eyes shut. Woohyun then leaned back on his chair and let out another deep sigh. Still, his heart was not at ease. Silence filled his empty house.
Another shot didn’t hurt, right?
But before he could pour another glass, his phone beeped.
Hyorin
“Hello?”
“Hello? Nam Woohyun?”
“Soyou?” He felt quite shocked. It said Hyorin in the caller ID but Soyou’s voice rang into his ears. Never had she called him in these two years since they broke up. And it seemed that she didn’t sound sober as well.
“I’m sorry… I was wrong. I felt so lonely… I love you, Woohyun-ssi… I deleted your number from my phone since we broke up but I’m calling you now right? Just like you wanted… So, can we please get back together?” Sobs could be heard in between her words.
“Soyou-ya, you’re drunk right? Are you at Hyorin’s home?” He asked, feeling a little bit of sorry for her.
“I heard that you’re seeing that actress lately… You already forgot about me, Woohyun-ssi? Please don’t….”
Woohyun bit his lips when she said those words. Even though the drama’s filming had just been over recently, rumors had been spreading about him and his former acting partner but the truth was he never had special feelings for her, he never did.
“You’re drunk, Jihyun-ah. Go to sleep. It’s getting late.”
“I’m sorry, Woohyun-ssi… You want me to go to your house right now?“ Her voice then faded but she still didn’t hang up. Woohyun could still hear her sobs.
“Ya, Soyou-ya! What are you doing?! I thought that you’re already asleep!”
Woohyun narrowed his eyes when he could hear Hyorin’s voice.
“Hello? Woohyun-ah?”
“Oh, Hyorin?”
“I’m sorry about Soyou…” Hyorin spoke weakly but Soyou’s cry was still heard from his phone that Woohyun couldn’t stop feeling bad.
“It’s okay. How is she?” He asked as Hyorin quickly walked towards her balcony.
“I don’t know. She’s been like that since she came to my house. Soyou told me everything about what happened between you two before… I know I’m just a friend to you guys but I hope everything goes back to the way it should be. Soyou’s been wrecked since these past years –“
“She shouldn’t break off with me in the first place.”
His last words made Hyorin speechless.
I start to think, if only I read your eyes at that last moment
Wouldn’t we have not broken up?
They hung up after that but not too long after they had their conversation, Woohyun received a message from Hyorin.
Woohyun-ah, Soyou’s not in my home anymore. I think she left while we were talking before. She’s drunk… I’m worried. Text me if you know anything.
He started to worry. Where could she had gone to in that condition? Suddenly, Woohyun remembered what Soyou had said to him before.
She would go and see him at that moment.
