On New Year’s day, we sat beside ChangMin with the four of us.
Even his brother ChangJun had been visiting him lately..
Around 1 AM, ChangJun went to bring ChangMin’s umma home.
Around 2 AM Mel decided it was time for a nap too..

I wasn’t going to leave anytime soon.
‘ChangMin.. Wake up soon, please..’ I whispered in his ear, as I lay my head against his on the pillow.
I’ll sleep here tonight..
I kissed ChangMin’s forehead carefully.

‘Kim JaeJoong.. Maybe it’s better if you take a rest at home and come back tomorrow morning.’ A nurse, who just entered the room, said.
‘I can’t leave him alone.. He might wake up without me being there..’ I said, shaking my head.
‘When he might do so during the night, we’ll give you a call immediately.’ The nurse smiled, but insisted on me going home.
Finally I gave in and left the room..
.. but I wasn’t going to go to ChangMin’s home.
Instead I was wandering the streets.

Not far away from the hospital I knew a place where a lot of graffiti artists showed their talent.
I was walking in that direction, deciding what to do for the hours that I couldn’t be with ChangMin.
The place was deserted, nobody was here at this time, they were probably playing with fireworks elsewhere..
It was New Year’s eve after all..
I walked to and fro on the place.
Suddenly I spotted a few cans of spray paint.
I picked a few from the ground and took them with me to an empty wall a few blocks further.
Thinking about ChangMin the tears rolled over my cheeks as I sprayed the paint on the wall.
"I Love You" and "Jae loves Min".
Then I let my body rest against the opposite wall and sank through my knees.
