Daehyun 64

B.A.P. Oneshots II

“Alright, rise and shine, sleepyhead,” you heard a familiar voice by your bedroom door. You opened your eyes and let out a squeak. You yanked the covers over your head and tried to hide from humanity. You were not in the mood for anything right now.

“What?” you moaned. You hated that he had to see you like this so early in the morning and you let out a groan. “Leave. Who even let you in?”

Daehyun came to sit on the edge of your bed. “Your mother.”

“Umma,” you groaned. Didn’t she know that on the weekends, you enjoyed your beauty sleep? You let out a tiny growl and tried to kick him off the bed. Your foot landed on his and you pushed, grunting a little. “Lose a little weight will you? You’re heavy,” you whined.

Daehyun laughed and stood up, the weight lifting off your bed. His arms came around you, and still wrapped in your blanket, he picked you up. You let out a tiny scream. “Stop struggling or I swear your mom will come up and think I’m defiling her baby girl.”

You blushed and immediately shut your mouth. “That’s more like it.” Your boyfriend crinkled his nose and he laughed. “Guess what we’re doing today?” He placed you down on the bathroom floor and you glared at him.

            “Let me wash up first.”

He shrugged. “Your mom has breakfast waiting. Food calls! I’ll see you in a few, babe.” You rolled your eyes. If Daehyun had to pick between your or food one day, you knew you would stand no chance.

When you got downstairs, you found him still at the table, chatting with your mother. They both turned to look at you and you tugged on your wet hair. You sat down and reached for Daehyun’s banana. He grabbed it. “My banana. You eat your own.”

You scowled at him and ate a small slice of bread instead. He shook his head and placed a spoonful of oatmeal to your mouth. “If you don’t feed yourself now, how in the world are you going to survive in college?”

You shuddered. “Let’s not talk about that please.”

He gave you a look. “You’re going to be moving in in one month. You can’t possibly keep avoiding it.”

You scrunched your face at him. “I don’t want to think about it. I’m not ready.”

He gave you a small smile. “Hey I’m doing fine. Besides, today we’re going to go school supply shopping! Get excited baby girl.” You shot your mom a look to see her reaction to the endearment but she wasn’t paying attention.

            You kicked his feet. “Why?”

Daehyun smiled at you. “By the time we’re done, you’re going to be thoroughly excited. I promise.”

He held out his hand for you to take and the two of you waved goodbye to your mom. The moment you stepped into the stationary shop, you froze. You couldn’t do this. It didn’t matter what he said. You couldn’t do this. Daehyun saw your anxiety and tugged your waist gently. “Come on. I’m not taking you to your death sentence.”

You stepped inside and he started flipping through the notebooks. “You’re going to need three subjects I think. Take lots of notes! The professors will be spewing knowledge they would want to see reflected in your works. Take a couple.” He placed them in the basket. You watched him and he looked at you.

“Do you like pens or pencils?”

You shrugged, not wanting to think too much about it. It was going to be different, not knowing a lot of people in your college would be difficult too and you weren’t very out there all the time. You preferred to keep to yourself and it was hard when people wanted you to come out of your shell.

Daehyun looked at you again and this time, he let out a sigh. “Okay, hon. Time for Jung Daehyun fast talk time.” You looked at him and he started to speak. “You’re going to be great. You’ll find new people to make friends with, but you cannot find a new boy to love.” He looked at you sternly. “You already have me. But you can have all the girl friends you want. You will join clubs and go to events and everyone’s going to love you there, okay?”

You were starting to smile and you nodded. Daehyun nodded with you and took another big breath. “Alright, let’s keep going. If you’re worried that you won’t be smart enough, smartness is all relevant. You can be naturally gifted, which you are, but effort and hard work is what matters to. You’re going to do well in college and then you don’t have to worry. After the first day, you’ll be calling me, ‘Oppa, oppa! I looooove college,’” He imitated.

You laughed and punched his mouth, with yours. “You stupid talkative idiot.”

Daehyun laughed and wrapped his arms around your waist. “No, but I’m serious. You’ll love college and you better not find someone to replace me.”

Been thinking about college a lot and I'm really scared :/

Thank you to Jewell unnie for helping me through. If anyone has any advice for the Class of 2017, help?

I honestly am so scared that Columbia would be so much work and that the people there would be so super smart, I'd be lost.

I'm just a potato. :( But yeah. I WISHED I HAD A DAEHYUN TOO ;;
