You ducked to avoid the spray of water that flew right over your head. There was a loud roar and Daehyun came charging out of nowhere. You shot your water gun at him and he dramatically pretended to flop to the ground.

            “We should play teams!” Himchan insisted as he tried to hide behind Yongguk.

            You snorted and attacked Jongup with a heavy water balloon. “That’s because you want to hide! Please Himchan.”

            Your boyfriend twisted and lobbed another balloon at you. “There, revenge is mine!”

            “Jongup, you and your girlfriend should team. Daehyun can be with Youngjae and I’ll be with Bbang.” Himchan ordered. “And Zelo can be on his own. That kid is a terror,” he let out a yelp as said maknae attacked him with a hose.

            You shook your head and blew Jongup a kiss. “As much as I love him, I’d rather attack him more.”

            Daehyun ripped off his shirt and started to swing it above his head. “Wet shirt contest!”

            You cringed and Jongup momentarily covered your eyes before Daehyun put his shirt back on. Youngjae pumped his gun and grinned. “Let’s do this. Jongup and you will be the white team. Dae and I will be the blue team. Those two parents over there can be the pink team and Zelo will be skin.” The giant baby protested as Daejae tried to rip his shirt off.

            “Noona help!” he cried.

            You shook your head. “You barely expose your body mister. It’s about time you get your stomach tanned.” Zelo blushed but grabbed onto his arsenal of weapons. “Fine,” he growled. “But you all watch out.” He let out a battle cry and let loose a burst of water into the air.

            You ducked behind Jongup and the four teams ran to your side of the gardens. It was a hot summer day and nothing was better than having a water fight in the backyard of B.A.P’s dorms. You laughed as Zelo bravely charged to the middle. He held up his gun.

            “Who’s going to challenge me?”

            Daehyun and Yongguk stumbled forward and you pushed Jongup ahead. “Go. Get wet for me,” you winked at him.

            He blushed and the two of you hung your heads as you realized what exactly you had said. You opened your mouth. “I mean you can take all the water for me. I don’t want to get too wet when it’s my turn so you fight hard and make sure he runs out of ammunition.”

            Jongup nodded but the tips of his ears were still red. You were sure yours was too. You watched him scramble to the middle of the yard and raise his gun. “I’m here to protect my princess!” He screamed.

            Daehyun snorted. “And my princess!” To which Youngjae protested.

            “Child, I am nobody’s princess.”

            And then there was Himchan on his side, screaming, “Hello? Yongguk? Princess here?”

            Yongguk didn’t even give Himchan a backwards glance. “Let’s go.” He picked up his hose and aimed carefully. Zelo cackled and started lobbing water balloons. Jongup only had a gun and was running trying to weave around and avoid the water. Daehyun had two machine guns and you laughed. Your boyfriend may be sorely underarmed but he was resourceful.

            He had somehow managed to get a bucket from the sides and was collecting water. You watched him heave the water he had gotten and pour it over Zelo. The maknae screamed in protest and the others attacked.

            It was more like three against one and when you took pity on him, you stepped forward. “Okay, you big bullies. Leave the baby alone. You can attack me now. It’s my turn. I’ll be on Zelo’s team. Zelo you can step out.”

            He shivered and went to grab a blanket. Jongup’s mouth fell open and Daehyun raised his eyebrows. “Everybody get her wet!” he shouted. “Wet t-shirt time!” he shouted as he stormed forward. You picked up a board as a shield.

            “Wait! I demand member switch! Youngjae and Himchan’s turn. You two are ruthless.”

            Jongup flashed you a wide smile. “Yay you took the ert out of the game.” You stuck your tongue out at him and Himchan sauntered to the center and proceeded with his greasy self.

            “I hope you’re wearing something really colorful underneath that white shirt,” he said.

            Your mouth dropped open and without warning, Jongup opened fire. He completely doused Himchan in water from both his pail and the gun. Youngjae snorted and everyone roared with laughter as Himchan came up sputtering.

            You grabbed the water balloons Zelo was rapidly blowing up and placing in your stash. You took careful aim and making sure to get it right down Himchan’s shirt, you threw it. The bomb exploded and he coughed. “That’s completely unfair! You know we have to be nicer to you because you’re a girl and because Jongup will kill us!”

            You shrugged and watched as Youngjae pulled Himchan’s shirt away and poured water down. The diva bounced up and charged straight at you with the hose. You couldn’t lift the shield fast enough and was completely drenched.

            You didn’t need to look down to know that thanks to Kim Himchan everything was showing. You sighed deeply and stared at him. He gave you a lopsided grin and you smiled angelically right back at him because right behind him was your boyfriend. Jongup snuck up on Himchan and with a loud cry, he poured bucket after bucket of freezing water right over Himchan’s head.

            You watched with satisfaction as Himchan writhed and Jongup shouted again, “This is for my princess!”
