[Narrator POV]

Each day after throughout the week, he would leave a note in your locker along with a gift. A photo of a cat, chocolates, a paper crane and flowers that was small enough to fit in through the gap. The message on the note would tell you to meet him in all sorts of strange places that you didn’t expect he would go to during lunch but you followed his instructions anyway. You would also make an extra boxed lunch like you promised and brought it with you to the meeting place. The two of you would sit together talking animatedly and Zelo would bombard you with a million questions about you, so you would ask a few about him just to return the favour. You were curious about him but just a little bit too shy to really investigate his personal life.

Zelo probably guessed that you didn’t like to ask or he just liked to talk, but he would tell stories of his past – his family, achievements, failures, and small trivial events. You listened to him attentively, fascinated about his life that was so different to yours. Sure, you had a family but currently, you were lonely without them.

“Hey __________-ah, are you listening?” You heard him say as you were shaken out of your thoughts. You had drifted into your thoughts thinking about your family back home and now fell back to Earth, sitting beside Zelo on the school rooftop. “
