“T-Then?” he asked softly as he couldn’t help but feel like an now. She was already in tears and he tried to take a step closer towards her but he couldn’t. “I..” she breathed out before she looked up to look at him even though it was blurry because of her tears. “Love you.” She gulped as he didn’t hesitate to come to her and hug her tight. “This is crazy, but I love you too.” He whispered as she wanted to hug him back but she wanted to tell him here and now. She pushed him gently by his chest so she could see him.

“No, you don’t understand.” She said as she took a step away from him to escape his embrace. He felt like his heart fell the moment she said that. She loves me, but I don’t understand? “I loved you for five years.” She held a hand up with five fingers to emphasize her point. He furrowed his eyebrows before he tried to understand but he failed to. “F-Five years? We just met a few weeks ago.” He gazed away before he looked back at her. “I don’t know if you’ll believe me but you and I are together for five years now. We live in an apartment together and we’re attending college now. For some odd reason, I seem to come back in time where I’m sixteen. Which would explain my first encounter with you. I know you inside out.”

She tried to read his expression as she couldn’t tell what he was thinking. She knew him inside out but it was different now. She couldn’t tell whether he believed her. “Are you kidding me?” he asked as gaped open. “Do you think this whole relationship is a joke? You think you actually know me inside out after weeks of meeting me?” he asked as she shut her eyes tight, letting the tears roll down her cheeks. “I’m not lying! And I’m certainly not making a joke out of all this!” She shouted at him as he jerked up listening to her act this way.

“Fine! You don’t believe me? Ask me anything. ANYTHING about yourself. Even things you don’t know about yourself I can answer them.” She was so confident even she was a little scared she couldn’t answer a question he would ask. “Forget this. I-I’m out of here.” He scoffed slightly before he walked out of the house. She pressed the sides of her head before she ran out after him. He was roughly twenty steps away from his doorstep and that’s when she knew she had to blurt out everything she knew.

“You’re afraid of switching off all the lights because you’re afraid of tripping over things in your room at night!” She shouted at him as he froze. His eyes widened and he couldn’t walk the moment he heard that. He gulped but he didn’t turn around to face her. She was dead on right. “How do you know that?” he whispered loud enough for her to hear but she didn’t care. She went on with what she knew about him. She could write a whole book if she wanted to. “You’re allergic to peanuts. That’s why your mom would only put jam with a little bit of butter when she makes bread for you.”

He furrowed his eyebrows as he turned around to face her. Kyung Jee was already in tears but she didn’t plan to stop there. She wanted him to know she genuinely loved him and she wasn’t lying when she said she knew him. “You actually love singing. But because of an incident that happened back in your hometown where a girl said you sounded like a frog, you didn’t want to sing anymore. Instead you picked up rapping.”

“How do you-“

“You don’t know what you want to be when you grow up. All you know is you want to have a loving wife, along with a son and if it’s possible you would want a dog with the breed of a German Shepard.” Tears streamed down her face but she didn’t stop. “You think poems are really cheesy and corny but you love it if someone were to dedicate a whole poem just for you.” He slowly made his way towards her as he finally believed her. “The only reason why you don’t take a chance on people is because you’re afraid of getting hurt. You’re afraid of what will happen in the end that’s why you don’t take chances on people. You don’t say ‘I love you’ not because you’re afraid. You’re just afraid of what the outcome might be.”

He finally made his way in front of her as he reached for her hands that was wet because of her wiping all the tears. “I..believe you.” He nodded before he looked up to look at her in the eyes. “Everything you said, was true.” He croaked out as another tear rolled down her cheek. “Of course they were true.” She whispered as she gazed down to the ground. “You told me all of that yourself.” She sniffed as she wiped the tears away after pushing his hands away. He instantly felt guilty. He held her by the sides of her arms before whispering, “Please look at me.”

She couldn’t look at him. Not knowing why, she just couldn’t. “Kyung Jee, please.” He pleaded as she looked up into his eyes. “I’m sorry,” He breathed out before he gulped. “I was just afraid that-“

“I would make a joke out of this relationship with you because of an incident that happened back in your hometown.” She blurted out as he pressed his lips together. “You do know everything.” She looked up to give him a slight smile. “Five years of being with you, I remember everything. Even the little things.”

“So do you remember this?” he asked as he leaned in closer to press his lips onto hers. His arms wrapped around her waist before pulling her closer. Her arms made their way around his waist before she responded to the kiss. She’s missed this so much. He leaned away from the kiss before he pressed his forehead against hers. “You mean to say, I’ll be getting to kiss these lips for five years starting from now?” he asked as she nodded her head. “And I’ll get to have this girl for as long as I live?” he asked again as she could only nod.

“Life is amazing.” He breathed out as she chuckled. “It is, isn’t it?” she asked as she couldn’t help but smile. She wouldn’t mind going through four years with him to reach to the present again now that he knew everything. It was hard for him to believe it, but how can he not believe her? Those things she said were the things no one else knew apart from himself. As crazy as it seems, he wanted to believe her too. “How about we hang out in my place?” he asked as she nodded her head. “Maybe I can make it up to you? For making you cry.” He cupped her cheeks to wipe her tears away. She grinned before nodding her head slowly. “Let’s go, sweetheart.” He knew he could call her that because he felt comfortable now.

The next day, it was already a Sunday and she was waiting for Chanyeol to come over. She was waiting patiently in her room as she played with her fingers. “Where could that boy be?” she muttered to herself before she decided to go to her window to look at Chanyeol. He smiled at her before he opened his window, which she did the same. “Are you climbing over?” she asked as she patted on the board but he shook his head. “I have something to bring over. So I’m walking over.” He grinned before he shut his window. She scrunched her nose before shutting her window to make her way down.

When she got down, she opened her door and true enough she got out to see him walking his way towards her with a big box in his hands. She turned her head to the road when she saw Kang Chen speeding in the car. “Chanyeol! Watch out!” she shouted as Chanyeol put down the box. “What?” he asked but he was too slow to react to anything as Kyung Jee ran as fast as she could to hug him tight before Kang Chen crash his car into both her and Chanyeol. Chanyeol’s eyes widened as he tried to process everything that just happened. He shook the girl in his arms that protected him from the huge impact. “K-Kyung Jee!” he shouted as he shook her but he could see blood flowing down from her head. “KYUNG JEE!” he shouted as he pushed her off to lay her down on the ground.

She tried to keep her eyes opened but she was losing blood. “S-She wasn’t supposed to get in the way!” Kang Chen shouted as Chanyeol shot a glare at him before shouting “You weren’t suppose to do anything in the first place! You should’ve accepted the fact she broke up with you! Now will you be able to live knowing you nearly killed her?!” he roared at Kang Chen, making him shut up instantly. Chanyeol lifted Kyung Jee up in his arms as he tried hard to walk or even run. Even though Kyung Jee shielded him with her body, there was no lie that Chanyeol got injured to after Kang Chen crashed into the two of them with his car. "I'll drive you to the nearest hospital!" Kang Chen offered but Chanyeol ignored him. He didn't want to risk endangering their lives with the person who nearly killed him.

“Stay with me Kyung Jee! Baby stay with me!” he shouted as he tried to make his way to the nearest hospital that was a few blocks away. He was limping but he tried his best to run even though it was hurting him badly. “C-Chanyeol..” she coughed out before she tried to lift a hand to place it on his cheek. “Stop talking! You’ll be fine! We're going to get here just in time and you'll be fine!”

“Chanyeol..” she whispered softer this time as she felt weak from all the blood lost. He gulped with a tear rolling down his cheek. “I love you.” She whispered as she closed her eyes. 

A/N : There'll be one last chapter before the end of this short story! :) I managed to squeeze it all into five chapters. It was pretty amusing for me that some of you didn't understand. I hope at least now you guys get it before the ending. Until the last chapter! <3
