The Next Day:

 

Sophie was awaken by a loud scream and not just screaming but it was with pain and it sounded so familiar.

She went downstairs to check what’s going on and to her surprise Marcus was under Aiden putting his hands behind his back.

 

 

Sophie: What’s going ... MARCUS! What .. I .. Wha ... What are you doing?! (Turning to Aiden)

 

Aiden: He entered the house without permission, sneaking to be exact.

 

Marcus: Well I just wanted to wake her up ..

 

Aiden: Uhuh. Shut up!

 

Sophie: What?! Why does he need permission from you?! He comes here every morning to pick me up! He’s my bestfriend and could you stop that and let him go?!

 

Aiden: That is not an excuse. Let me know if there are other people who will barge in like this.

 

 

Aiden let’s go of Marcus and Marcus fixes his shirt and hair.

 

 

Marcus: I did not barge in! I had keys (jiggles his keys in Aiden’s face) DUUUUUH!

 

Marcus and Aiden exchange glares.

 

Sophie: Stop it both of you! What are you six?! Marcus wait for me in the living room.

 

Marcus: Good thing she came or else you could have gotten a taste of my taekwondo!

 

Sophie: Taekwondo your face! You kick like a girl! Get going already!

 

Marcus does a ha-ya! Before exiting the room and glaring at Aiden leaving the two in the kitchen. Sophie was about to go upstairs when Aiden called her attention.

 

Aiden: Please do inform me if you have more people that will come marching in like he did.

 

 

Sophie: (speaks with her back facing Aiden) Why am I going to tell you that? You’re the best spy in the field right? You should know that.

 

Aiden: Well rummaging through personal stuff is really not my forte.

 

Sophie: Well for you.

 

Sophie proceeds upstairs and half an hour later she comes down dressed for school and she passes by Aiden.

 

Aiden: Hold it right there. (He says not taking his eyes off the newspaper)

 

Sophie: What?!

 

Aiden approaches her and gets her car keys.

 

Sophie: What are you doing?

 

Aiden: Driving you to school

 

Sophie: Woah. You do know that I can drive and Marcus is driving me to school.

 

Aiden: I’m afraid you can’t do that.

 

Sophie: Why?

 

Aiden: I need to watch over you.

 

Sophie: Sheesh, Its not like i’m going halfway across the world, school is just four blocks away.

 

Aiden: I’m sorry but hat’s protocol, so I can’t leave you alone.

 

Sophie: UGH! This just keeps getting better and better doesn’t it?

 

Aiden: I’m sorry what was that?

 

Sophie:Nothing. Hey dumdum! Let’s go!

 

Marcus pops his head from the living room.

 

Marcus: What? Who you calling a dumdum?!

 

Sophie: You are stupid! Let’s go

 

Marcus: Okay my car then?

 

Sophie: No, skippy here’s gonna drive us.

 

Marcus: But I have my car with me (pouts)

 

Aiden: I’m sorry but I have to make sure she’s safe.

 

Marcus: But Sophhhhhhiiieeeeeee!

 

Sophie: Stop it! Its not cute! Let’s go now okay?

 

Sophie exits first, followed by Aiden and then Marcus glares at Aiden before exiting as well.

 

Car ride starts and Sophie looks agitated and she has this habit of puffing her cheeks and pouting when she’s upset and when Aiden turns to her he sees her doing such. Then Aiden stares at her for a while for it triggered something in his memory. Sophie catches him looking at her and gives him a puzzled look.

 

Sophie: What are you looking at?

 

Aiden turns away and continues driving. They arrive at school and Sophie gets out and walks away, Aiden follows and Marcus as well

 

Marcus: Hey wait up!

 

Aiden: Miss Kim, just a moment

 

Sophie: What now?

 

Aiden: Wear this (grabs her wrist and puts on a bracelet that is like in the military)

 

Sophie: Wow talk about fashion

 

Aiden: This is a tracker, so I can locate where you are.

 

Sophie: What its not enough that you follow me around?

 

Aiden: I respect your privacy that’s why i’m letting you wear this.

 

Sophie: Psh. Whatever.

 

Aiden: I’ll pick you up after school.

 

Sophie: Marcus is gonna take me home, right dumdum?

 

Marcus: (shocked) Huh? What? Oh yeah ..

 

Aiden: I’m afraid that won’t be possible.

 

Marcus: You just heard what she said right?

 

He stands up to Aiden and tries to intimidate him.

 

Aiden: You don’t want to do that Sir.

 

Marcus: What? You scared huh?

 

Sophie: Stop it dork!

 

Marcus: No. I’m just stating something here. Right Mister Spy?

 

Marcus pushes Aiden but fails because Aiden got his hand and twists it and turns him around. Marcus yelps in pain.

 

Sophie: Stop it both of you!! Gosh you’re like kids!!

 

Sophie walks away leaving both of them

 

Marcus: AW! See what you did??

 

Aiden walks away as well

 

Marcus: HEY! Come back here you jerk!!

 

Aiden walks up to the car and drives away.

 

Marcus: You jerk! You’ll get your day! Sophie wait up!

 

Marcus balls his fists and hisses

While Sophie is walking, someone is watching her from the bushes.

Sophie is in the library studying while Marcus comes in putting a rose on top of the book she’s reading. she stops reading, looks up and smiles at him.

 

Marcus: Hey beautiful!

 

Sophie: What’s that for dork?

 

Marcus: Something to cheer you up princess

 

Sophie: Awww! That’s so sweet ... but you’re still a dork.

 

Marcus: Wow, whatever I do, i’m just a dork am I?

 

Sophie: Uhm let me see ... Yeah pretty much (sticks her tongue out)

 

Librarian: SHHHHHH!

 

Marcus: (tones down) You’re such a kill joy you know that

 

Sophie: Am not! Just stating facts duh?

 

Marcus: Killjoooooo ....

 

Librarian: Cho! Kim! If you two can’t keep quiet get out!

 

Sophie: Sorry Miss.

 

They both exit the library and giggles in their way out and they kept walking.

 

Marcus: Well that was awkward

 

Sophie: Naaah! She’s just a grumpy woman

 

Marcus: (slings his arm around Sophie) Sooo .. dinner with me then?

 

Sophie: Nope. I’m slump with homeworks (elbows Marcus on the stomach)

 

Marcus: Ow!Hey that hurts! Why don’t I take you home then?

 

Sophie: NO.

 

Marcus: Oh c’mon! Pleeeeeeeeaaassseeee ??

 

Sophie: No! Stop it you’re not cute!

 

Marcus pouts and does the puppy dog eyes and Sophie finally gives up.

 

Sophie: Ugh. Fine!

 

Marcus: That’s what i’m talking about!

 

Marcus was about to sling his arms and hug Sophie but she elbows him again and runs off

 

Marcus: You bionic little woman! But I still love you!

 

A car stops in front of Sophie and she was taken a back and Marcus just shouted her name in shock.

Sophie was startled and she was about to get mad but then Aiden gets out of the car and suddenly everything stops for her and she senses something familiar about Aiden but she shrugs it off when Marcus approaches her.

 

 

Marcus: Are you alright? You’re really a jerk you know that?!

Aiden just stares back at Marcus

 

 

Aiden: Shall we go Miss?

 

Marcus: She’s coming with me right Sophie?

 

Sophie: Huh? Uhmm .. Yeah ... Wait what?

 

Marcus: You sure you’re okay? I’m going to take you home right?

 

Aiden: I’m afraid that won’t be possible

 

Marcus: Shut up bodyguard!

 

 

The two were about to get into another argument but Sophie stops them

 

 

Sophie: STOP IT BOTH OF YOU! Marcus I’ll see you tomorrow. Lee, let’s go!

 

As a gentleman he is, Aiden opens the door for Sophie and they ride off.

The whole car ride was silent as Sophie fell asleep. When the arrived, He noticed that she was already sleeping. Aiden tried to wake her up but she won’t budge, He unbuckles her seatbelt and as he was inches away from her face, a flash back plays in his head.

 

FLASHBACK:

A girl was running playfully in front of him and was giggling everything seems so surreal then he gave Sophie a puzzled look, what's happening to me?He thought.

When he felt Sophie started to wake up he immediately sat back on his seat and pretended that nothing happened.

 

 

Sophie: (waking up) Oh were here.

 

Sophie grabs her things, steps out of the car and goes straight to the house. Aiden was left in the car processing what just happened.

She goes up to her room and drops her things and sits on the chair, she receives a text message, she reads it and leaves her room.

Meanwhile Aiden enters the house and goes upstairs to check on Sophie.

 

 

Aiden: Miss? (knocks on the door) Miss Kim?

 

When no one responds, he tries to open the door but its locked so he busts down the door, then Sophie comes out of the bathroom

 

Sophie: (shocked) WHAT THE?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!

 

Aiden: I thought you .. I ..

 

Sophie: Thought what?! What are you? Some kind of destroyer or something?!

 

Aiden: (a bit shaken) I’ll fix that

 

Sophie: Fix it?! Its cut in half! Ugh! I’m tired of dealing with this!

 

Sophie walks away leaving Aiden staring at the door. He noticed something encrypted in the door, some kind of number combination. He takes a photo of it and cleans up the mess.
