Dooseob

This Love
I, I,
I can see it in your eyes
Taste it in our first kiss
Stranger in this lonely town (this lonely town)
Save me from my emptiness (save me)

“Do you think he’s coming?” Said the older one still looking hopefully at the main entrance.

“I don’t know, Yoseob hyung…” The younger wanted to tell his hyung that everything was going to be fine, that his beloved one would come running breathlessly and they would leave the sad airport behind.

But he wasn’t certain about it and he knew that the older wasn’t either. After all, Yoseob was blaming himself for what happened and none was going to make him change his mind. Yoseob’s love life hadn’t been easy ever, he discovered that he wasn’t “normal” when he was just 15 years old and he had to struggle with bullying and disdain for most of his school life. He had some boyfriends while in high school, most of them were, in fact, only mocking him and, in the end, Yoseob was always left alone with none to count with.

But it all changed once he became 17 and his family moved to Seoul. Yoseob decided to start anew, he wasn’t going to hide who or how he was, but he was certain that he shouldn’t trust anyone. It was at this age when he decided to pursue his longtime dream of being an idol so he focused all his effort on training and learning. He was really busy to even pay attention to the people around him. He didn’t have any friends at school, he didn’t go to karaoke or coffee shops after class, he was always training at school or at the company he was working for. His parents didn’t stop telling him that he was losing an important part of his life, he was missing his teens and he was going to regret later not getting acquaintance with the rest of his school partners. But what they didn’t know is that he was convinced about not needing anything of that, about not needing friends because he considered all of this just a mere distraction from his goal.

That’s why he wasn’t able to notice that certain person passed the days looking at him, or more like staring and piercing him with his dark, deep eyes. That certain person was nothing like Yoseob, he was one of the most popular kids at school and everyone knew him. He was captain of the soccer team, he was loved by most of the girls at the school and the guys idolize him like he was some kind of celebrity. Everywhere he went there was an ocean of people waiting to talk to him, to sit next to him, god, even there were a queue of people just waiting to shake his hand. But his eyes were always on that little, quiet boy. He couldn’t help but stare at him the whole time, they just share some of their classes but he had already assumed that he wasn’t going to learn anything on those because his mind was far away, at the other side of the classroom, where the object of his obsession was. That’s how he decided to call it, obsession, because even though he hadn’t talk to the other ever his image was always present on his mind. Even though they haven’t share a single glare, he was sure those tired eyes were beautiful and deep and were able to his whole soul and he would let him gladly do whatever he wanted with his soul because it was already his. Yoon Doojoon was sure that his soul was property of Yang Yoseob even though the younger wasn’t aware of it, and he wasn’t sure if he was going to be any time soon.

Neither of them expected their first meeting to be like that. And they would have given anything just to change the circumstances. But nothing could be done anymore and they thought after that they may be thankful for getting to know each other. It was one of those weird days when Yoseob was still at school in the evening. He always ran from school as soon as the classes ended but this time he had to stay behind because his teacher thought that he needed to talk about his future and how things were going at school. Yoseob spent the last hour talking about how good he was feeling at school –what was total bull– and how he hadn’t decided what to do with his life. None knew that he had already signed a contract under an entertainment company and he was certain about leaving things like that. He was finally exiting the school, frowning as he realized what time it was, he was really late for his training lessons and they were going to scold him endlessly. He started to run towards the entrance gate but the young boy bumped into another body as he passed the gate.

“Look who we have here…It’s YangYofag in person” Said a voice Yoseob recognize immediately.

“Junhyung hyung…” Yoseob was astonished.

What was Yong Junhyung doing in Seoul and at his school? Yoseob looked beside him and he saw another boy looking bored. He didn’t recognize it at first but he looked familiar and he was wearing the same uniform as him. So Junhyung should have gone to visit that boy and he was unlucky enough to bump into his old bully once again. Yoseob was shaking, he didn’t know what to do, he started to remember the last 2 years, how he was insulted and bullied every day and everywhere, without a chance to escape in that small village. But he was now is Seoul, he was now far away from the nightmare, why was he feeling as afraid now as he was back then? Yoseob then glared at Junhyung, who was surprised by the younger’s reaction, he didn’t even once answered back or glared at him. Junhyung then chuckled, amused by the reaction. He found it interesting and exciting so he wasn’t going to miss the opportunity of bullying his dongsaeng once again. He looked at his friend, who kept looking bored, and he knew that he would win something better just making the other as amused as he was right now, and Yoseob was going to give him the chance to do it. He took Yoseob by the hem of his shirt and pushed him towards a wall next to the other boy, who looked up surprised by the sudden presence.

“You should be careful, Junnie, someone might hear you and your friend and come here, and I don’t want to be associated with your bully ways” Said the other boy almost pouting.

“I thought you loved my bully ways, Seungie, you know you get excited by them” Junhyung smirked at the other while still looking at Yoseob, who was rubbing his hurt head.

“No, I don’t. And they’re only interesting when they fight back, that little chick won’t do anything so I’m going home, you can keep playing with your friend here…” Hyunseung started to walk away from the scene and Junhyung looked to Yoseob dumbfounded.
He then looked at the walking boy, not knowing what to do. Yoseob, on the other hand, found that the perfect moment to fight back, for once in his life, and bit hard Junhyung’s hand, wishing to be released, so he could run away home. But instead of being released, Junhyung just screamed and punched him in the face and the stomach, making the younger one fell to the floor in pain. What Junhyung didn’t saw was that a punch was coming straight to his face, knuckles meeting his nose. Yoseob looked up in his pain just to see someone he vaguely recognized from some of his classes giving him a hand that he gladly took before running away. Yoseob just looked back once to see Junhyung being attended by the other boy while the bully keept yelling and cursing over the two running teenagers.

They stopped in a nearby park, both trying desperately to catch their breaths. Yoseob then noticed that they were still holding hands and pulled out quickly. He rubbed the sweat from his hand on his jeans, embarrassed of the contact. He looked again at the person next to him panting and he was unable to tell his name but he was now sure they were in the same class. The other didn’t talk, just walked to the small swing at the end of the park and patted the sit for Yoseob to sit down. The younger blinked a couple of times, surprised by the other’s actions, but he just approached the swing cautiously after the other patted the sit again and looked at him with pleading eyes. After eyeing the swing and the other student he decided that there was no way in avoiding the other’s plead so he sat on the child’s swing. The older started to push him, higher each time, and Yoseob started to feel like butterflies were invading his whole body. He couldn’t help but grin wider than ever, he was feeling so carefree, as if he were flying to a place where all his problems had just faded away.

But as everything in life, the ride came to an end. Slowly the swing started to slow its speed and sooner than expected Yoseob had his feet touching the ground again and the other boy was sitting in the swing next to him looking at the sky silently.

“My father always said…that when you have a problem and want to get rid of it you should ride a swing…that way the problem will go to the sky and will fade away.” He kept looking to the sky with a sad smile before blinking and looking at the dumbfounded Yoseob. “I’m Yoon Doojoon, by the way” He waited for Yoseob to shake his hand and after an awkward minute the other shaked back.

“I’m Yang Yoseob. May I ask you why did you help me? You don’t know me or anything…” Yoseob looked at Doojoon curiously. He wasn’t expecting anyone to help him, less when the one bullying him was someone as menacing as Yong Junhyung.

But Doojoon didn’t answer immediately. He stood up and walked until being in front of Yoseob who kept his stare locked in the other’s movements. The older kneeled in front of the sitting boy and his swollen cheek, sending him waves of electricity. Yoseob closed his eyes at the sudden contact, he didn’t know why but he was enjoying the contact. He opened his eyes when he started to miss the contact and felt himself being engulfed by a pair of brown orbs. He lost track of time and didn’t know how it happened, but without notice his lips were pressed with the soft lips of the person in front of him and he didn’t try to stop it, in fact, he didn’t want to.

You took my hand
You told me it would be ok
I trusted you to hold my heart
Now fate is pulling me away, from you

From that day on the life of Yang Yoseob changed drastically. He started to talk with his classmates and thanks to Doojoon he started to feel comfortable around people once again. It wasn’t like he was once again the same carefree kid he was, but at least he was able to interact again with people outside the company. And his musical career was starting to be noticed between the fans, he had started to have girls waiting for him in the front door with signs and gifts and Yoseob was happier with each new day.

And his love life, even though he wasn’t sure if he should call it that, was getting more exciting each passing day. Since Doojoon kissed him they have been inseparables, always stuck together, studying together and walking together. Yoseob would go earlier to school just to watch Doojoon’s soccer practice and Doojoon would walk him to the company every day. They would spend all the time they had together and they were truly happy. The younger felt safe for the first time in a while and every time the older hold him in his embrace he could feel the electricity invading his tiny body and he was sent to the ninth cloud. He started to feel good with himself, with his life and everyone was able to see the results.

As the time passed, Yoseob and Doojoon became the perfect couple. Every person at the school acknowledged them as an item and Yoseob was delighted at the fact that none would ever mock him again for not being straight. He was delighted because with Doojoon beside him he could be himself without being afraid of anyone. He was able to stand in front of the school without being ashamed anymore. But things weren’t as easy as it seemed and the path he had chosen was going to become a burden in no time. Even though they tried to stay together all the time, Yoseob was starting to have a schedule to fulfill as a soon-to-be singer and Doojoon had to practice hard and stay longer on the soccer field in order to get a soccer scholarship

“Doojoonie…” whispered Yoseob while they were just sitting side to side on a bench in their way to Yoseob’s work.

“Mm?” Was all Doojoon said while trying so hard to stay awake. He had been sleeping around 3 hours for the past month and was getting harder to stay awake in the evenings.

“I guess you should stop walking me here every day…You should go home and get some needed rest.” Said the younger, trying to avoid looking at the tired boy.

“Then I wouldn’t be able to do this…” Doojoon lowered his head to put it on Yoseob’s shoulder. He knew that Yoseob was kind of right, he was going to fail his finals if he doesn’t get enough sleep, but he was also sure that if they stop using this time to be together they would only see each other at school.

Yoseob sighed. He knew his boyfriend was so stubborn to think straight and, in fact, he didn’t want to think straight either for once. He was well aware that if they stop walking together they’re time alone would be close to zero, but it pained him to see Doojoon almost asleep next to him in that bench. It pained him so much to see Doojoon falling asleep in class because he insisted on walking him home after practice, even though Yoseob told him that he was going to finish late. It pained him a lot to hear Doojoon arguing with his parents because he was coming back late and with his friend for not having time to hang out with them. And he knew that sooner or later he would have to be the one to make the decision, what he didn’t know was that it would be much sooner than expected.

Even if I leave you now
And it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around
I won't give in
I can't give up
On this love

“It’s time for you to move in to the dorm, Yoseob-ah” Said the president of the entertainment company to a dead serious Yoseob.

The color drained from the young singer’s face and he’s jaw dropped open. At first his brain didn’t registered the information. Moving in, away from his home and, more importantly, away from school and Doojoon. That couldn’t be possible be happening. How was he supposed to keep on living without Doojoon by his side? The president kept glaring at him, waiting for his response patiently. This wasn’t his first time telling a trainee that the time had arrived. And with each one the reaction is different. Yoseob was clearly one of those who felt attached to something so it would be harder for him, but he was well aware that Yoseob’s dream was to become a singer so he was sure he would accept his path willingly.

And Yoseob knew that too. As the minutes passed by the idea started to take its place in the younger’s mind. It was his dream, his dream was coming true finally after years of hard work and pain. And he was sure that Doojoon would understand it, he would understand the fact that he had to move to a new place and a new school since it was Yoseob’s lifetime dream and Doojoon would be kind enough to understand and support Yoseob’s choice.

What Yoseob didn’t want to do was to tell Doojoon. He was going to end up breaking Doojoon and himself so deep inside. The younger tried to think that both were ready for their separation, not that they were breaking up but just getting apart. He tried to believe that they both had set their minds for that moment since they started their relationship. But when the real moment arrived he realized that he wasn’t ready for any of this. He wasn’t ready to be separate from Doojoon. He wasn’t even sure what to say to the other or how to tell him. How are you supposed to the person you love that you are leaving them to pursue your individual future? He came back home that night lost on his thoughts and didn’t even listen to his parents when they started congratulating him on his debut. He went straight to his room, he needed to think what to do exactly: telling Doojoon or not telling him? What would be more hurtful for both? Yoseob didn’t know what to do, he owed Doojoon a lot for the past weeks, his head told him that he needed to tell him, to talk face to face and explain to the older why he had to go and why they had to stay apart for a while. A little voice inside his head kept telling him that it was the right thing to do, Doojoon deserved that at least. But the pain on his chest told him otherwise. The pain on his own chest was nothing compared to what he was going to feel after leaving Doojoon, after telling him face to face that he was leaving. Would Doojoon cry? No, he definitely wouldn’t. Would he cry? Possible, maybe more than possible. He was sure that he would cry his heart out some time soon, but that wasn’t important at the moment. The most important thing was to get through that painful situation as soon as possible and Yoseob could only thing of one thing, one sinful, selfish thing that would possibly minimize the hurt from both sides.

The next day was the last day of Yoseob at school. The company had already started his resignation from school before even telling him about it, his parents knew, of course, but none told him that he was going to leave in just one day. He went to his classes as usual, laughed with his new friends, played with Doojoon and complaint about their homework. None noticed the glint of sadness that covered Yoseob’s bright eyes. Only Doojoon tried to ask if he was fine by the end of their lunch time, but Yoseob hid successfully his real thoughts behind a mask of playfulness. But Doojoon wasn’t going to drop the subject just like that. Thankfully for Yoseob, Doojoon had to go to the soccer field after lunch, which left the younger with a lot of time to think what he was about to do. He went to the library, where he was sure he would be able to be alone to write the most difficult letter he had ever written. He poured his whole heart in that letter. He told Doojoon what he knew he couldn’t do face to face without breaking apart and he didn’t even try to hold his tears while the pen kept scribbling his sad words.

Once done, he left the letter silently inside Doojoon’s locker. He knew that the older always checked his locker once before going home after practice so he had at least 30 minutes to leave school before the other could see him. After leaving the lockers hallway he went straight to the classroom where he spent most of his time, the now emptied classroom where he spent his time with Doojoon was so quiet and calm. Yoseob made his way through the rows of chairs and desks until the well-known desk. He sat and just stared at the craved names that were mere visible in one of the corners. He touched the names lightly, stopping at one of them. Tears threatened to fall down again, but Yoseob shut his eyes tight. He needed to get going or he was going to be late to their last rehearsal before moving in and he needed to avoid seeing Doojoon at any cost.

What he didn’t know was that Doojoon had ended his practice earlier that day. He was still bothered by Yoseob’s behavior. Even though the rest of their friends didn’t notice anything unusual he was able to see beyond the mask the younger kept wearing the whole day. His mind was clearly not on the soccer field that day and the coach decided that he would be more useful outside. After changing on his school uniform again he went to double check his locker as every day and certain piece of paper caught his eyes. He unfolded it and recognizes Yoseob’s neat handwriting outright. After a moment of silence trying to register the words he was reading he dropped the note and ran, trying so desperately for it to be just a joke from the younger. He ran, and ran, and ran till his heart was going to explode and his legs couldn’t support him anymore. He collapsed in the park near Yoseob’s work. He had looked for the younger everywhere, even his house, but he was nowhere to be seen. The realization was slowly sinking into Doojoon’s mind. The weirdness in Yoseob’s attitude the whole day, the fact that he wasn’t watching him at soccer as always, everything started to give Doojoon a bad feeling. He wanted to think that he was overreacting, that Yoseob was only tired and working hard and he was going to be back at school next day like nothing and they would enjoy another day together. But something in the back of his mind, a quiet voice that was getting louder and louder, kept repeating that he was going. He didn’t know why, but he felt the other was gone.

And he wasn’t wrong. The next day he dashed to school, hoping to see the other, hoping to hug him so he wouldn’t leave him ever. But Yoseob wasn’t on his usual spot, Yoseob wasn’t waiting for him at the school gates with his bright smile, Yoseob wasn’t on his classroom and Yoseob didn’t appear in front of him at all. Doojoon decided to go to the entertainment company, he was sure that Yoseob would go there sooner or later. He waited there after school for hours, just waiting there, looking at the entrance door, waiting to see the younger. But he didn’t and he had to come back home soon after the dawn without seeing the other. He kept that up for days, coming back to the company after classes just to get a glimpse of the other, but it was useless. He even tried asking in the building reception but they told him several times that Yoseob wasn’t there and that he wasn’t going to be in some time. He had disappeared from the face of the Earth for Doojoon, and it seemed that he wasn’t going back any time soon.

You've become a piece of me
Makes me sick to even think
Of mornings waking up alone
Searching for you in my sheets
Don't fade, away

Graduation was getting nearer and Doojoon started to give up, he started to focus on his studies and soccer, at least that way his mind was occupied enough to think the less about the younger boy. Even like that, his mind still drifted away from time to time to the last weeks, when he was still sitting beside the singer. He tried to stop thinking about the other, but he kept seeing his smile, how he would hum while he kept copying Doojoon’s homework or how his eyes glimmered every time he talked about music. He missed the other so badly but knew that he couldn’t do anything. It was the other’s decision to leave and Doojoon only hoped that he was fine, it was all he could ask. But he can’t deny that he got surprised when he was called by his mother because a new boy band was debuting. He exited his room and just sat next to his mother, was excited about that new group.

“C’mon, Doojoonie, sat here. They’re coming up next” Said Mrs Yoon while bouncing a little.

“What’s so amazing about this group anyways, umma? They’re just another rookie. We see lots each week” He said kind of bored. He was studying for his final exams but his mum kept calling him for things like that.

“Another rookie??! Don’t you know that there’s someone who used to be your classmate in this new group? I can’t remember his name, but they told before that the maknae was studying at your school before.” Doojoon’s mum stared at his son in disbelief. She couldn’t believe that his son was so clueless when they had been announcing about this group a lot around the neighborhood.

But Doojoon was no longer looking at his mother. His attention was fully on the music show. The new rookie was just announced and as the music started 5 masked idols started to dance an intricate intro. But the soccer player didn’t know to see his face to fully recognize Yoseob. He was there, in that tv show, he was finally seeing the other after weeks and, even though they had a television screen between them, Doojoon could feel how his heart started to beat furiously and he started to tremble. He was so focused on the screen that he didn’t even notice that his mother was asking him what was wrong. All his senses were registering the image in the screen, from the way the younger moved his body with the music to how his voice was so beautiful compared to the rest of the sounds in the world. He could even swear that he could smell the other, maybe it was just his memory being triggered by the shock of seeing Yoseob again, but he could smell and feel the other, his warmth, his sweet essence and even the taste of his lips. But when the performance ended he came back to the real world, a world in which Yoseob was long gone and he could only be able to see the other on tv.

He didn’t even bothered answering his worried mother, he just stood up and entered back into his room, where he was unable to keep studying for the day. Day by day he kept watching Yoseob’s performances, which kept improving by each day. He would spend his whole day studying and playing soccer, but those 4 minutes became a sacred break. His mother kept asking him why he was so invested on that idol group out of a sudden, but he would never answer back. He never told his mother anything about Yoseob when we were together and he wasn’t going to do it now that they weren’t even close. He rather kept all those thoughts to himself, that way they would stay pure and intimate.

By the time of their last performance, Doojoon had already passed all of his exams and only the soccer field filled his day. He still had to play every day because the season wasn’t over and soon the final match was going to be held. That match was the most important of his life, it would decide his future as a professional soccer player. He was pretty nervous about it, he had already graduated by his family couldn’t afford his dreamed college, so the scholarship was so needed. He only needed to play like he had always done, but he wasn’t sure about his skills for once in his whole life. His hands were shaking and he was feeling a thousand butterflies on his stomach. But he knew he had to think straight and show what he had been working for. But for a minute he let himself dream, and he wished for Yoseob to be there. He wished for Yoseob to stay by his side and support him like he did all those times before. And for a second he hated Yoseob, or better said, he hated himself for not being strong enough to protect Yoseob so he would feel safe by his side, without the need of running away from his current life. Because that’s what Doojoon thought Yoseob had done, run away from his life to not have the necessity of fighting to keep his life as it was after debuting.

Doojoon still had 4 hours before the match, he had gotten ready since earlier that morning and he was thinking of going to the soccer field before the match. It always helped him to calm down before the most important matches. The soccer field would be empty and quiet, with none to disturb his thoughts. But before he even got to the front door his phone started to buzz. He stared at the name in the screen and after a sigh picked it up.

“What do you want, Kikwang-ah? I was going out so better be fast.” Said Doojoon annoyed. Kikwang was one of his juniors at school and soccer practice. He was one of the friends he shared with Yoseob when he was still at school and when the younger left they kind of lost contact apart from soccer practice.

“He’s leaving!” Shouted Kikwang hurting Doojoon’s eardrum.

“Kikwang-ah, I really don’t have the time. Could you explain yourself before I hang up?” The older was starting to get impatient.

“Yoseob, hyung! Yoseobie is leaving right now!!” Kikwang kept yelling at the phone while talking as fast as his tongue would let him.

“And why is that my business? He can go whatever he wants, he did that once already” He said bitterly, but the voice at the back of his mind started to wake up in curiosity.

“Why is that your business? Don’t you think it’s weird that Yoseob hyung called me to tell me he was leaving?? Don’t you find it suspicious?”

“No, Kikwang, I don’t. You two are friends, it’s normal that he would call you to tell you so you can go and tell him goodbye or something” Doojoon was starting to get pissed off. It was hard enough that Yoseob would call Kikwang instead of him to say that he was leaving and that dumb just had to call him so he could feel even worst.

“Think again, dumb hyung” Said Kikwang exasperated. “Why would he call ME instead of YOU?” Kikwang was getting on the older’s nerve.

“Cut the crap, Kikwang, I need to go now. If you have something to say, say it quickly so I can end this once and for all.” Now Doojoon was officially angry and yelling at the phone. He didn’t need to know why Yoseob had called Kikwang instead of him, he knew it already, so why keep thinking about it?

“You’re really stupid, hyung…really… do you think that he would really call you after what he did to you?? You really think that he doesn’t feel like crap for all this, right? Well, maybe you would like to go to the airport in an hour to find out how stupid you both can be”

Without further saying, Kikwang hang up, leaving an speechless Doojoon staring at his cellphone, maybe waiting for a clearer answer for the confusing question he had in his mind… should he go to see Yoseob one more time or should he miss the opportunity of seeing the other one last time before their paths would separate for the last time?

Even if I leave you now
And it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around
I won't give in
I can't give up
On this love

“Do you think he’s coming?” Said the older one still looking hopefully at the main entrance.

“I don’t know, Yoseob hyung…” Kikwang wanted to tell his hyung that everything would be alright, but he wasn’t sure himself about it.

Kikwang was sure that Yoseob told him about going to leave the country for a month just so Doojoon could know. The younger kept in contact with Kikwang for the last months, he was the only one who knew that Yoseob had to transfer schools because of his debut due to his mother being the principal at his new high school. Kikwang became the main support for Yoseob, who after transferring school became antisocial again, he wouldn’t talk with anyone apart from his new band and his classmates were jealous of him being a soon-to-be idol, so they kept mocking him and bullying him, making Yoseob all depressed and isolated again. But Kikwang found out where he was staying thanks to his mum, who told him how bad his friend was being treated, and they started to talk and hang out. It was easy to bond with Kikwang, who always had a smile on his face. Even though he was kind of slow and dumb at times, Yoseob loved those moments when he was able to forget the pressure of the fame and the tight schedule and just enjoyed his time as a teenager.

Yoseob owed Kikwang a lot, not just for being there when he wanted to hang out, but because he was when he needed a shoulder to cry on. Kikwang would stay with him for hours if that’s what the other needed and would listen to him and even scold him for being stupid. Because Yoseob was being pretty stupid about all the Doojoon issue. Kikwang was sure as hell that those two were supposed to be together, the whole high school was sure that they were fated, only those two retarded would stay clueless at it. Especially Yoseob, who apart from feeling bad about the whole issue kept telling his friend over and over again that it was impossible for him to go back to Doojoon. Even though Kikwang knew that his hyung was still in love with Doojoon, and he also know the other loved him back, but neither of them would do anything to fix the situation.

Yoseob and Kikwang stayed there, at the main entrance, just waiting, wishing for the other to appear in the airport running breathless to stop Yoseob from going. But after 1 hours Yoseob decided that he wasn’t going to come so he should get going, otherwise he would lost his flight. Kikwang tried to insist on waiting a little bit longer but he was forced to leave as Yoseob started to make his way into the check in queue. But after the younger was out of sight, Yoseob came back to the waiting room and sat down in a bench, it was hard to say goodbye that once time, but it was getting even harder now that it was for good. He left some tears roll down his cheeks, trying to hold the sob that came after unsuccessfully. He didn’t want to leave like that, he knew that he would be back in just a month but he also know that if he didn’t fix his relationship before going he wasn’t going to have another chance. His sobbing started to become louder, even muffled by his hands, so he wasn’t able to hear the breathless guy who was panting besides him, trying to catch his breath after the long run.

I can't just close the door
I never felt anything like this before
Tell me the truth no matter what we're going through
Will you hold on too 'cause
Even if I leave you now
And it breaks my heart
Even if I'm not around
I won't give in
I can't give up
On this love

He kept sobbing until his heart’s content and tried to dry the tears from his face with his sleeve. He had a flight to take and after all the crying he felt lighter, like the weight on his shoulder was lifted a little bit. He started to gather his things again, ready to take his flight once again, when a hand took him by the wrist, stopping him on his tracks.

“Are you trying to run away again? And this time without even saying anything, Yang Yoseob?” Said a voice easily recognizable for the young idol.

He turned back almost breaking his neck. He couldn’t believe that he was there.

“How long have you been here?” Yoseob tried to keep his voice as stable as possible, but failed miserably. He was trembling so much, partly because of the whole crying, partly because he couldn’t believe that him, Yoon Doojoon, was there, sitting right next to him for who knows how long.

They stared at each other, Yoseob waiting for an answer, Doojoon trying to understand what the other was feeling at the moment. They kept staring and the time seems to stop around them, like there was none there apart from them. And that’s how Doojoon understood what he had to do to fix all their problems. He just stood up and hugged the shorter boy so tight that Yoseob thought he was going to die from suffocation. But he let the other do without a complaint. It felt good to feel each other’s warmth and breath. Yoseob started to murmur against the other chest something that Doojoon wasn’t able to hear.

“Are to going to make me decipher what your mumbling or are you going to say it out loud?” Said the older with a smirk.

He let Yoseob out of his embrace, even though he kept his hands possessively on the other’s hips. And what he saw made it up for all the weeks of suffering. Yoseob was as red as apple and his eyes were gleaming with a mix between tears and something hidden on his pitch black eyes that made the younger look so beautiful in the eyes of the soccer player. He had missed those eyes and that little face like hell and now that he had it just mere inches away he couldn’t help but lean closer to smash their lips together, getting a soft moan from Yoseob as a reward.

“Doojoonie…” The younger started while lowering his eyes embarrassed.

Doojoon took him by the chin and forced Yoseob to look him in the eyes.

“Tell me, what were you mumbling just now” He questioned with a small smile on his lips.

“I’m…I’m sorry Doojoonie, I’m so so so sorry, I’m so sorry for being selfish, for not saying goodbye to you face to face, for not…” Yoseob couldn’t keep apologizing because Doojoon had, once again, attacked his mouth furiously.

When the older felt that Yoseob was silent and lost again in the kiss tried to pull out, just to find Yoseob tugging him again by the hem of his t-shirt. Doojoon has gladly surprised by Yoseob’s lust but managed to separate from the other.

“I guess that made it up for the leaving. But don’t think that you are going to leave me again today” Doojoon didn’t expected for Yoseob to answer, he just grabbed his luggage with a hand and his wrist with the other and dragged the younger boy along with him, they had a lot of things to do before their relationship was on full good terms again.

“Doojooniee!! You have a match to play!! And I have a flight to take!!” Yelled Yoseob trying to get away from Doojoon’s tight grip.

“I know, I know, but you also know that I can’t do this without you by my side, right?” Suddenly Doojoon wasn’t feeling nervous about his future or the match anymore, he had Yoseob by his side once again and he was sure they could do anything if they were together.
