I believe that I first heard those words during my preschool years. I remember vividly how enthusiastic I was to say aloud my ambition.
"I want to be a princess!"
Yes, a princess.
A princess who waits patiently for her prince to swoop her off her feet
A princess who is smart enough not to get eaten by the monsters, dragons and trolls.
A princess who brings joy to her loved ones.
A princess who, in turn, receives much love from her loyal subjects.
To this day, I want to be that princess.
