Saved
Description
wondering how she was saved -
or whether she was really saved at all.
Krystal Jung was the typical epitome of luck. In fact, she was almost perfect - gifted with beauty, a loving family, job offers even before graduation... everything a girl her age could ask for. At the very day of her turning to twenty, however, her life drastically changed. She wakes up on a hospital after her birthday, struggling to open her eyes. As she did, only her best friend, Lay was beside her - not a single family member, and it only signalled for one thing - they were gone. The events that accounted for her loss were a mystery, except for her best friend Lay and her ex-boyfriend, Kris.
As Krystal uncovers the events surrounding that night on her birthday, she sees herself in a situation where everything she knew about her family, her friends and even herself change right before her eyes. Was being on coast after the tragedy meant for her a life, or was she never saved at all?
Together, the three embark on a wave of truth, trust, self-worth, friendship and most of all, of scrutiny in love.

Luck has been my companion, touching the edge of my lips into a smile and holding my hands as I flew to my dreams. I had luck with me, until its contrary cursed me and stabbed luck's wings. I saw every soul pass by me as if I was invisible. Luck left me - alone, confused, lifeless. Lifeless, yes... but breathing. Tell me, was I saved?
I saw greed swallow the ship whole, murdering every breath of happiness and celebration, and turning everything into a storm of cries - endless crying and gried. I witnessed how greed let out its evil laughter as anchors of hopelessness drowned the vast sea. I saw one that remained floating, and alas, I have saved.
Time ticked its way to tyranny - minding nothing but its tracks as souls ran through it with desperate cries. My vision concentrated on the focal point - a predator slowly heading to its prey - so filthy clean. Ironic but yes, filthy clean - a description of both time and the predator. All feet but a pair had ceased, but no, none was saved.
I slid down the wall and hugged my knees, hoping I could comfort myself. To no effect, I ended up feeling just worse than planned. I slapped my face in hope of waking up from such nightmare, but no. It was real - tragically real.
Twice a knock was heard, shifting my attention. "Krystal, are you there?" It was my best friend, Lay. "I know you're there, so please open this door." He calmly demanded - as calm as he always was. "Please. Now."
I stood up from sulking on the cold floor, thinking his arms around mine might be some healing, even just for a temporary point in time. "Promise me you won't nag." I said as I reached for the knob, making sure of the serenity I needed before I opened the door.
"I never nagged. Do I?" I can imagine him raising a brow.
Opening the door, I was surprised to see him with someone - a persona I never expected nor wanted to see at the very moment. I turned my gaze back to Lay; a glare was enough for him to comprehend my sentiment.
"He said he wanted to talk to you." Lay explained. "It's an option I find to be better than allowing you to sulk in that room." The look of worry on his face was evident and the same feel was true with the touch of his hand on my arm.
I leaned at Lay as if needing some sense of balance. In fact, I did need more than that - I needed a sense of companionship; I was sick of feeling alone. "What do you want, Kris?" I questioned without looking at the face I loathed.
