Once, a guardian angel lived among the people of Yangshou, watching over his beloved human.

He was known by the name Wu, Yifan. Being a guardian, there were certain rules to be followed but he broke the greatest of them all and it was the rule forbidding the guardian to fall in love.

Yifan lived for a thousand years and was assigned to a thousand humans but this was the first time that he actually fell in love.  

From the day that Zitao was born, Yifan had always been by his side, watching his every move and protected him from harm.

Yifan loved every fiber of his being. It was rare for him to be assigned to a human this innocent and pure.

He loved Tao’s desire for isolation but he felt sorry for the boy at the same time for not having anyone by his side thus making him break another rule. . . The rule forbidding the guardians to show themselves.

Upon seeing him appear out of nowhere, Tao’s eyes widened . . . not because of fear . . . his eyes widened upon seeing Yifan's beauty and looked at him in awe.

Time passed by and this love eventually became two sided. Tao loved the fact that Yifan was always for him not like the rest who left.

One day, when the lovers were about to make love, the archangels couldn’t stand it anymore.

They separated the lovers, imprisoning Yifan in a dimension, isolated from the rest of the world and erased every thought of him in Tao’s memory.
