Chapter Two
Without You
The morning light shone through her room. Spreading warmth to her face waking her up
Yesterday feels like a dream. That night when she’s on her room, she pinched herself few times to realize that what happened was true.
She woke up happily, dancing here and there while brushing her tooth. It was a good day indeed. She took a quick bath and wore shorts and a tee for it is summer now in Korean, a very hot weather. She tied her hair in a messy bun and walked happily until she got down the staircase.
“Good Morning Sunshine” she froze on her spot. That voice
“Impossible” she whispers. She shook her head and continue walking
“Seems like your in a good mood eh?” uwaaaaah! She turned around and saw him comfortably sitting at their living room.
“Yonghwa-ssi!!” she shouted, shocked visible in her face
“yep. Glad you didn’t forget me” he said, humor in his eyes
“But what,when, why are you here?” she speak fast
“woah easy there sweetheart. One by one I’ll answer it.” He chuckled
“how did you get in here?”
“Well uhm first of all minji’s my friend? And I believe you two are living in the same dorm?”
“when did you arrived?” he looks at his watch
“about half an hour ago?”
“where’s minji?”
“As I got here, she’s on the way out and she said she’ll be spending the night at their house. Besides it’s holiday today.”
“And lastly what are you doing here??”
“I’m visiting my sunshine” he smiled brightly. Looks like she’s not the only one who woke up with a smile plastered all over her face
“mwoya?!” she gasped and heard him laugh
“wae? Aren’t I aloud to come here?”
“But Y-yonghwa-ssi”
“I said calm down sweetheart. Have you eaten already? I bought breakfast. Err I want to cook something for you but because of excitement I forgot to visit the super market” he smiled that megawatt smile that makes her legs jelly.
“It’s ok. I can eat anything” she shrugged. Still unable to think about the unexpected things happening in her life
When they were eating, she decided to just entertain him. She’ll ask later on why he’s doing this stuff. And like an old friend who just each other over years, their chitchat lasted for hours and hours. They watched movies, listened to music, played piano and guitar which is owned by Minji, but most of all they enjoyed their talk on things. With this they learned a lot from each other. They naturally got along well, and the awkwardness? Zero.

The next day she received a call from an unlisted number. She’s about to ignore it but pressed the answer button instead.
CRAP! “Hello?” silence….
“whoever this is, if you won’t speak I’ll hang up now”
“woah! Wait a minute sweetheart” that endearment. That voice. She froze.
“Y-yonghwa-ssi” she heard him chuckle
“errr. Are you busy today?” nervousness in his tone
“not really. Why?”
“I’m gonna invite you on our practice session today. B-but if you have something more important to do it’s okay!” he said nervously. He heard her giggle that made him grin ear to ear
“It’s my pleasure to watch you perform.” He felt relieved.
“see you later?”
“yes” she smiled and pressed the end call button
He;s been rummaging around their practice room a lot of times. The maknae’s began to woory on their hyung’s weird behavior
“Hyung. Why are you so tense today? Something wrong?” Jonghyun who felt restless just by seeing his Yonghwa hyung bustling around since they arrived at their practice room
“M-me? A-aniyo. I’m fine! Good actually” he grins. Minhyuk shakes his head. Their hyung is so different today.
Few hours have passed and they observed him getting tense as time past by
“Hyung! What is your damn problem??” Jungshin who can’t take it anymore shouted with fury. Yonghwa has been making mistakes and getting out of tuned making them start all over again. It’s the first time it happened tho.
“It’s just that” Yonghwa’s going to reason something when they heard someone coming
“she’s here” he said. Feeling anxious and excited at the same time
“who?”
“shinhye?”
“omoni?” the dongsaeng’s asked curiously
“aniyo” He’s about to tell them who it is when she peeked through the door. Making the three boys gawked at her
“annyeong haseyo” she greeted shyly. She flushed when she saw the other three boys staring at her like she came out by means of magic or something
“Well that’s her charm” Yonghwa blurted out. Staring at her intently
Hearing him say those words she blushed harder.
“That and that” he said. Grinning from ear to ear as he approaches her
“Oh boy. Is this really Yonghwa hyung we see right now?” MInhyuk asked in disbelief
“Seems unreal” Jungshin agreed
“He’s being possessed!!!” Jonghyun stated. Hinting amazement in his voice
Five minutes have passed and yet seems like their Yonghwa hyung has been oblivious of their presence. The three decided to cough exaggeratedly
“oh” finally. The three boys said in mind
“Seohyun-ssi this is Jonghyun, Jungshin and Minhyuk” the warm chocolate brown eyes looked at them. Eyes sparkling.
“Annyeong haseyo” she bowed “It’s nice to finally meet you in person” she smiled sweetly. The three boys looked at each other in confusion. And seems like she read their minds
“errr. I’m a Boice” the three boys Oooh’s in unison.
They entertained her with much enthusiasm. They enjoyed talking to her, the way she answers questions, her funny stories, etc. They did enjoy talking to her but their sharp eyes can’t escape the jealousy stares of their selfish leader.
“should we sing you a song?” Yonghwa asked
Her eyes sparkled with excitement. She clasp both her hands “yes please!”
They played Love Girl and Love Light. She enjoyed singing along with them. As they finished the 2 songs he ask if she wants to learn how to play the guitar, she nodded happily and that’s when they start entering their for-the-two-of-us-world-only
“Yonghwa hyung has been smitten by this Angel” jungshin blurted out, hinting envy in his voice
“This is the first time I saw yonghwa-hyung ignoring the needs to practice the whole day. He’s so relaxed whenever she’s beside him.” Jonghyun said. The two maknae’s nodded
He’s been visiting her whenever he has time or vice versa.
This routine of Yonghwa continued for months. They became the best of friends or what they quote “More than Friends Less Than Lovers”
Until one day….
“Hyung!” a loud knock woke him up. He just fell asleep from a long night conversation on the phone with his Joohyun.
“Hyung! Palli!” Minhyuk shouted.
“Aish!” He scratched his head and opened the door loudly.
“Hyung! You need to see this!” He gave him his tablet and Yonghwa who’s still in his sleepy state. He scrolled through the web page and was shocked when he saw a picture of him and Seohyun happy and romantically talking at an ice cream parlor near the Han River with the Bold title “CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa’s LOVE LIFE” as he scrolled he saw pictures of them from different occasions. All happy and from the looks of it they really look like a couple in love. Which is true. He smirked
“Mwoya?!” said Minhyuk, he’s been expecting that his hyung will freak out right after he sees this article. But from the looks of it, he’s enjoying looking at their lovey-dovey pictures.
“Hyung!” he’s about to nag at him when Yonghwa’s phone rang. AS he heard the ringtone he ran through the bedside lamp and picked it up without wasting another second.

“Good Morning Goddess” he smiled
“JUNG YONG HWA! OTTOKE?!” Seohyun has been freaking out right after she saw the news. Lots of negative comments about their said relationship, and worst of all, Dooleys have been ranting about this Big Time! Saying stupid and hurtful words about her that made her sob and broke into a pool of tears
“Joohyun?” She forgot that she’s on the line with Yonghwa. She cleared
“Meet me at the Han River after your schedule” from her tone, he doesn’t feel good about it
“I will. Don’t worry about this. I’ll do something” she pressed the end call.
