After being thrown into the depressing abyss of death, my mind was finally able to comprehend how precious and fragile life really is. Stuck on earth as nothing more than a murky shadow; I was occasionally able to solidify and come into contact with my surroundings. I don't know whether to consider this as more of a treasure or taunting curse.

I constantly wander through seemingly endless streets of nothing, only to have my gaze land on the raw, frayed rope wound around his beautiful neck. I refused to let him end his life in a moment of utter despair and sadness. The chair beneath him was not going to be kicked out tonight; his chest was going to continue to heave.

What happens though when i end up bonding with this suicidal stranger?

What happens when i become the only anchor he has keeping him from choking on his own thoughts?

Is it too late late to tell him that my stay on earth is coming to an end? After all, I can only refuse the call of the After life for so long.
