After Lu Han and Minyoung’s wedding, the newlywed quickly headed to Beijing to enjoy their honeymoon. Three days had just passed but Minyoung’s best friend, Juri, already missed her terribly. She could still remember the beautiful smile on Minyoung’s face as she walked down the aisle last week. She suddenly thought of her own, “Will I ever get to walk on the aisle while wearing this beautiful white dress?” and she heaved a sigh.

Working inside her office as she was totally swamped with these piles of papers on her desk, Juri decided to take a break and gave Minyoung a call.

“Yoboseyo!” Minyoung excitedly answered the phone upon seeing Juri’s name on the caller ID. “Yah! Minyoung-ah! How are you? Goodness, I miss you so much!” Juri said between her excitements after hearing Minyoung’s voice.

“We’re doing great! We just visited the Great Wall and Terracotta warriors. My gosh Juri, this place is really beautiful! Lu Han is right when he said that I’d enjoy touring around here in China.” Minyoung said.

“Well, I could really sense how happy you are. Minyoung, I’m sincerely happy for you. By the way, are you guys planning to give us a little Lu Han or little Minyoung soon?” Juri asked. Minyoung giggled with Juri’s sudden query and Lu Han heard her.

“Yeah! Why are you giggling over here, huh?” Lu Han asked as he hugged Minyoung from behind, nuzzling to her hair. “Yah! Lu, I’m talking to Juri. Please, just wait for me in the bedroom.” She pleaded as she pecked on his lips.

“Yah! Minyounh-ah, I’m still here. If you guys still have a second round of your romance – hang up the phone properly, at least.” Juri commented as she could hear the lovers on the other line.

“Mianhae Juri! Don’t worry, he’s out now. And going back to your question – I don’t know. We still haven’t planned anything about that.  Right now, we just want to enjoy our lives as married couple, you know.” Minyoung said.

“Araseo. Even though, I don’t really understand.” Juri retorted. Being single for a very long time, she could only think of having babies as soon as she gets married.

“Well, I think you really wouldn’t. That’s why I told you to get yourself boyfriend.” Minyoung suggested. Juri scoffed after hearing the undying suggestion she always gets from her best friend.

“Alright then, one moment…”

“Wait, eodiga?” Minyoung asked in confusion. “You told me to get a boyfriend, right? Let me go out and just get a boyfriend.” Juri said sarcastically. Minyoung couldn’t help but laugh with Juri’s sudden outburst.

“Yah, I was just kidding, okay?” Minyoung said, holding back her laughter. But Juri on the other line couldn’t stop laughing too. “Well, I wish it could really be just as easy as that.” She said.

“Juri, I’m sure the right person for you will just come along. If I know, you also have someone special in your heart.” Minyoung said. She remembered that Juri has this “crush” and she even told her about him once before.

“Hey, hey…can we just talk about something else?” Juri tried to escape from Minyoung’s endless teasing.

“Araseo. Well, how’s your business? I heard that you finally decided to work in one of your family’s businesses, is that true?”

“That’s right! After living in US for a long time, I realized that it’s still best to work in your homeland. Besides, my parents let me work in this business that I love the most.” Juri said satisfyingly.

“Jinjja? Does it mean that you’re the new manager of Yong Su San?” Minyoung asked her excitedly. “Ne! Appa let me manage Yong Su San for the meantime.  And you know how I love this place, right?” Juri said. Yong Su San is one of the best restaurants that Juri’s family owns. She considers this as the best place not only because of the food, but because of all the childhood memories she has in this restaurant.

“I’m so happy for you Juri! I know you will do well!” Minyoung cheered. But Juri had one more surprise for Minyoung and she knew that she’d be happy to hear it.

“Minyoung-ah, do you still remember Octagon resto-bar?” Juri began. “Yes! That is where I met Lu Han.” She happily reminisced.

“Geurae! But you know that is also special to me right? Suho and I just signed a contract together with Mrs. Choi last night. We are now business partners!” Juri said ecstatically. “Omo! Is that true? Congratulations! But wait, I didn’t know that Octagon resto-bar is that special for you? Or is it because your “someone special” is there?” Minyoung started teasing her again.

*Flashback*

"My brother Suho recommended this place. And I love the ambience, the food, the music, the singer, and the waiters –"

"Wait, wait... the singer and the waiters? They're cute, aren't they? I know you so well Juri. You wouldn't stay in this place if they were no cute boys around."

Juri giggled with the fact that Minyoung said. She definitely has the exact reason why she visits the resto-bar.

"I'm not going to deny it, you really know me. It's just that, they are so charming. Too bad, the singer is not here. If you see him, you won’t think he’s a guy because he's way too pretty or handsome. But the waiter is here, let me just call him."

Juri quickly raised her hand to get the attention of the waiter she was talking about. A guy wearing a plain white t-shirt and black pants approached them with a sweet smile.

"May I take your order ma'am?"

"Oh yes, this is my best friend's first time in this place, so can you please get us two glasses of your best champagne... Lay?" she said with a little flirty tone.

He carefully took note of the order. "Is there anything else you want to order?”

"YOU! Just kidding! No, that would do it. Thanks." Minyoung couldn’t help but let out small laugh with her best friend’s behavior.

"Alright, one moment." and he left to get the order.

Juri tried herself not to squeal, but when Lay left, she wasn't able to hold it anymore.

"Oh my gosh, isn't he cute? Have you noticed those dimples? I wish he could be my personal waiter forever."

"Hmm... he's pretty cute. And yes, he could be your waiter forever." Minyoung commented.

"What do you mean?"

"I meant, your family owns a lot of restaurants here in Seoul, you could actually hire him and keep him to yourself." She exaggerated.

"Omo! How come I didn't think of that?! But would that be really a great idea?"

"Yah! Juri, I was just kidding. And no, it's not a great idea so don't do it." Minyoung did a face-palm because of how gullible her best friend could be sometimes.

*End of Flashback*

“Hajima Minyoung-ah!” Juri pleaded as she realized that Minyoung could still remember that moment. Before the conversation went to some other things, Juri had decided to cut it off and let her go. “I have to go back to work now and you go back to your husband. Make sure to make a baby as soon as possible.” She demanded and that made Minyoung laughed endlessly again.

It seems like she’s really have a great time – which is really good. Juri thought with this plastered smile on her face.

In Octagon resto-bar, Lay was diligently washing the dishes as he hummed his newly composed song. Suddenly, Mrs. Choi approached him. “Lay, what are you doing?” she as she noticed Lay on the counter.

“A-Ah..drying the wine glasses?” He was unsure of his manager’s question.

“I can see that. What I mean is – why are you still doing that?” she asked. Lay felt nervous and quickly left the counter.

“Omo! Manager, I’m so sorry. Did you ask me to do this something? Maybe, I forgot it. I’m really sorry.” He panicked. He knows how forgetful he is at times, but he hates it when it happens at work.

Mrs. Choi just giggled. “Lay, from now on, I want you to stop doing whatever you used to do. And take off that apron too.”

“W-Why? Am I fired Mrs. Choi?” he asked, his eyes widened.

“No, because starting this day, you’re not just a waiter anymore. You are a singer. So take off that apron, changed to your casual outfit and rehearse on that stage because you will have your first gig tonight, araji?” she said with a smile.

Lay’s face lit up after hearing his sudden promotion. “Thank you Mrs, Choi. Thank you so much.” He said gratefully.

“Well, you also have to thank Lu Han. Before they went to their honeymoon, he told me your desire to be a singer in this bar. I’ve heard you sang once and I thought you’re really good. You deserve it.” She patted his shoulder and left.

Lay still couldn’t put out the huge smile on his face as he uttered. “Thank you Lu Han.” He quickly pulled out his phone and called his friend to share the good news.

“Wei?” Lu Han quickly picked up the phone.

“Hey Lu Han! Thank you so much! I didn’t expect that you would actually do it!” Lay said, couldn’t find a way to hide his happiness.

“Well, I told you once. You deserve it. Good luck to your first gig. Why don’t you sing one of your compositions, I’m sure the customers would love that.” Lu Han said, giving him more motivations.

“Got it! That’s what I’m going to do. I’m not going to take too much your time now because I know you’re still in the middle of your honeymoon.” He said before they finally hung up.

Lay didn’t waste any time and started to head to the stage as he introduced himself to the band. He quickly took the guitar and strummed his composition.

(Lay playing the guitar and singing “Ordinary Friends”.)

The members of the band, along with Mrs. Choi, applauded right after he finished rehearsing the song. Lay smiled heartily as he felt the full support from the people around him. I can do this! He told himself.
