Angelic Disaster

Your P.O.V:     I stood on the linoleum floor as the all-too-familiar smell of the hospital filled my nose. I crinkled it in disgust. A weary sigh escaped my lips as I floated in the air nonchalantly. Here I was again -- the hospital. My graceful black wings unfurled as I boredly did a pirouette in the air.     A frown formed on my pink lips as I remembered where I was. Hums and whirs from the nearby machines brought me back to reality. Rushing doctors and nurses passed by me hurriedly, not even seeing me. Of course, I was an angel after all. Why would they see me? I was dead.     Nah, actually, I don’t think I’m classified as an angel. Well, not the pure, sweet, and beautiful kind, anyway. I’m really an angel of death. You see, I’m in charge of guiding the spirits to Heaven after they die. Then they become angels and whatnot. It’s a very tiring job, you know. She was barely six years old, and she already looked like she was going to pass on in a few days. *I’ll probably have to guide her spirit after she passes to Heaven.* I cringed as she cried in pain after taking her needle that probably wouldn’t help her situation.     Quickly, I passed the child’s room. Hey, just because I was an angel of death, it didn’t mean that I actually liked death and torture and stuff like that. I actually hated it. I was just doing my job, you know. It’s not like there’s any easy job out there in the world.     I finally gazed at the room of the person that I was in charge of for the time-being. Apparently, he stayed in Room 28. His name – Park Hyunchul. But he preferred to be called Karam. I read his portfolio and sighed. He had an unidentifiable sickness, and he was predicted to die in approximately three days.     I shook my head. *Poor boy.* Twisting the cold brass doorknob, I entered the room. I scanned the interior before gazing at the bed. I remembered sitting in a bed like that and feeling the immense pain of sickness enveloping my body before I became a wandering spirit like the others. Now here I
