CHAPTER 7

Fiancé, Accepted?

Baekhyun found himself locked inside the restaurant’s bathroom together with an expressionless Luhan. He might look calm, but Baekhyun knew he was raging inside. He knew what he did was wrong, deciding on himself without the approval of the other.

But what choice did he have? If he hadn’t show up, nothing in his plan would happen. It was his only choice, his last resort in making Luhan forgive him, and if it’s not too much to ask, for Luhan’s love for him to come back.

Yes, he’d admit, he still loved him. It never left him. He remembered every little thing about him, and he had not forgotten every memory they made. If only I told the truth earlier...

“What the hell are you doing here?” Luhan angrily asked, his teeth were gritting and Baekhyun knew it was because of trying to calm himself down, and he also knew he’s in trouble. Big trouble. I made you mad again, huh... But he didn’t mind, as long as his plan had done well. ”And you even told her you’re my fiancé? Damn, you’re trapping me, you dingbat!”

Baekhyun snorted because of what he had called him.

“Well, aren’t you going to thank me? She was so happy, you know,” Baekhyun calmly answered, not even the least afraid of Luhan’s madness, for he knew even when he’s mad, he was never the violent type. He always felt safe around him. “Besides, she didn’t even oppose to the idea that I’m a guy. She’s such a sweet mother.” Too bad you are too bitter. Or am I the one to blame for that?

Luhan sarcastically smirked.

“Yeah, a sweet mom like her doesn’t deserve a scheming like you,” Luhan smugly retorted, and his every word sliced his heart to pieces, but managed not to let him know of his pain.

Those are just words. Words of an angry man, Baekhyun tried to consoled himself.

“It’s okay. It’s all fake anyway,” Baekhyun managed to answer despite of the stabbing pain he felt in his chest.

“Tell her you’re just kidding,” Luhan commanded, face void of any emotion. And to Baekhyun, that’s what hurt the most, because seeing the man he once loved without any emotion just meant he no longer feel anything for him. “I’ll even help you explain. And I’ll treat everything as if nothing happened, then we can go on with our lives. Away from each other. Like we’re complete strangers.”

‘Away from each other’… Ouch. ‘Like we’re complete strangers.’... Double the ouch.

But carry on, Byun Baekhyun! Just try hard to earn this man’s forgiveness so you can get your happy ever after!
