Meet me at the scheduled location at 11 pm tomorrow.

The note burned in his pocket. He should have ripped it to pieces and thrown it away, but he needed the constant reminder that this was real. Not a dream, fantasy or hallucination. Just a real life, awake nightmare.

So here he was, at the location he had agreed to, awaiting his destiny. The small park was almost empty except him, and he eyed a small gang of teenagers not far away suspiciously. You never knew who was a criminal and who was innocent these days.

“Stiff and out of place as always, Minhyun” a familiar voice called from behind him. Minhyun turned abruptly around, already furious. 

“I’m here alone as you asked me to, and I brought the money, so let’s get this over with,” he hissed towards the shorter male. The man just smirked, nodding his head towards a bench not far away. “Care to join me for a little chat while I check the money?”

Well, it wasn’t like he had much choice but to comply, Minhyun grumbled to himself while following the other and sitting down on the bench. It was cold, and Minhyun couldn’t help but shiver.

Minhyun tried to keep the chatting to a minimum, pretending he still had some control over the situation. His companion ignored his silence though, and kept the one-sided conversation going.

“Who would have expected this tho’, the well-respected business man Kwang Minhyun involved in a blackmailing scandal. I sure never expected this from you, the straight A student, class president, always proper classmate.” The shorter man laughed spitefully. Minhyun couldn’t help himself from retorting.

“I always expected you to become an immoral criminal though. You always were stupid, good for nothing and looking for trouble.” It stopped the other’s laugh, but didn’t seem to ruin his good mood.

“Is that why you pushed me away that time I kissed you? I always thought it was because in the end you actually were straight, but after this I guess I was right, eh?” he said with a nod towards the convolute in Minhyun’s hand. “Aw, your poor wife tho’, what would she say if she knew.”

Minhyun’s grasped the convolute harder. He knew what the pictures displayed; Aron had showed him some not so pretty examples earlier in their … negations.

Aron kept his mouth shut for a while, probably distracted by the amount of money in front of him. However Minhyun knew it wouldn’t last; his former classmate never had known when to shut it.

And just as predicted he soon opened his mouth again. “You have good taste man, that I’ll admit.” Minhyun didn’t acknowledge him any reaction, he wasn’t worth it. Or so he kept telling himself.

“Wouldn’t mind ing that pretty blonde myself, to be honest,” Aron continued with a snicker. “That little mouth of his looked very ab-“ Minhyun’s fist stopped him from finishing.

“Don’t talk about him.” Minhyun was shaking with anger. He’d always been a peaceful person, but Aron had always known exactly which buttons to push to rile him up.

The other man’s calm response took him by surprise. “You know what, let’s just leave it to this, I got my money and you got your photos. I know you’re honourable and have given me exactly as much money as I asked for. I wouldn’t want to keep you too long, start worrying your little wifey, or maybe it’s your lover you’re going to go to after this? Whatever man, let’s just leave it to this. “

Minhyun let his cold mask glide into place again, agreeing calmly. He was calm, composed and proper; he didn’t let lowlife criminals rile him up.                                                                                                    

They even shook hands before parting, like they were old friends.

Aron watched Minhyun till his long silhouette no longer could be seen, before hailing a cab and getting himself and the money somewhere safe. He couldn’t help but snicker yet again while walking the stairs up to his apartment.

Poor naïve Minhyun, always so easy to fool. Believed he had his emotions under control while they really were right there, shimmering right under the surface, obvious for everyone to see.

He opened the door and found all the lights on. Huh, so Minhyun did actually go back to his wife then.

“Honey, I’m home,” he yelled out gleefully. The thrill of a job well done always left him with an especially good mood.

A familiar blonde appeared in the door connected to the living room. “Welcome home,” he said without much emotion, not moving closer to great Aron with a kiss as he usually did.

“What, are you sad? Did you actually develop feelings for your victim this time?” Aron asked, however it was all said jokingly. He knew how his lover could be, and didn’t take it to heart.

With a sigh Ren finally came towards him and gave him the kiss he was waiting for. “You know you’re the only one I love,” he said, before with continuing with a frown; “And shouldn’t that be our victim?”

Aron just laughed, before lifting up his boyfriend and kissing his breath away. A job well done always left him with an especially good mood.

AN: I tried to inspire myself by forcing myself to write drabbles inspired by words I pointed out at random from a dictionary. In the end this was the only one I managed to write (and I used forever to finish it).

It's weird how just the word location suddenly turned out to be this though. Inspiration is a facinating (and annoying) thing.
