I felt someone’s hand on mine, clutching it tightly.

My eyes began to open slowly, with my vision still a little blurry. I looked to the left of the, I suppose, bed; to find a figure of a man. ‘Il hoon,’ I thought.

My vision started to clarify, little by little. I looked around the dim-lit room; peach painted walls, serene green ceiling, a lamp table with a jug of water on it. Then, my focus went back to Il Hoon, he was sleeping peacefully. He looks like an angel.

A sharp pain was felt along my spinal cord, which caused me to fidget and groan a little. Unfortunately, it affected Il Hoon and he woke up from his sleep.
 

“Hmm?” He rubbed his eyes and moved his head a little.

I flashed a weak smile. His eyes brightened, seeing me awake. He massaged his face, then ran his fingers through his hair, combing it.

“Are you alright now, honey?” He flashed a concern smile.

I just nodded and smiled. He got up and gave me a hug.

“I’ll protect you forever, I’ll take care of you, I’m forever yours.” He almost whispered as he hugged me tighter.

 “Mommy,” My baby boy called out.

Il Hoon and I decided to get married at 24 and 2 years, we were blessed with our baby boy; Danial Jung. Yes, that’s Danial, with an A! Unique, right? I originally wanted to name him Daniel, then Il hoon was like, ‘Oh, Daniel is too mainstream, why not Danial blah blah blah.’ We just call him Danny at home, lol.

Today is Danial’s 2^nd birthday and he’s so elated, just not us. I’m worried about cleaning up and Il Hoon’s worried about Danny getting fat.

“Sister-in-law!” 6 men shouted in unison.

Danny ran towards Peniel, who immediately squatted down and spread his arms to carry ‘Danny. Il hoon walked over and give all of them fist pumps, I just rolled my eyes sarcastically at Il Hoon. He’s 28 and still trying to act like he’s 18. But that’s what I like about him.

My life is perfect at the moment. I wouldn’t even ask for nothing more. Just me, Il hoon ad Danial is enough. Just us like this, it’s more than happiness.
