Chapter 8: She Likes Jelly Candies

Kim Hye Ri's POV:

I stared blankly at the small t.v. in front of me.

Now that I have all this free time what am I supposed to do exactly?

The t.v. was no larger than an easy bake oven, and it was so old it still used an antenna--which did I mention was broken?

Not that I wanted to watch t.v. anyway, I just didn't really have anything to do.

I could spy on Baro...But he's with his sister right now, I doubt she's the one teaching him how to win blackjack and poker.

I sigh as I push myself off the bed and move about 5 steps to get to the kitchen. 

Yes, that was how small this darn apartment building was.

I hear my stomach growl.

Right when was the last time I ate?

I open up the fridge only to find it empty and remember that I had never bought anything.

Oh yeah...

I guess I'll go have to buy some more food.

I finally reach the supermarket, tired and hungry.

It had taken me at least an hour to get out of the deserted part of no where that I was at and find a supermarket.

It was small, and the food did not look too fresh, but frankly I didn't care. I was hungry and I was going to eat.

I walked up to a stand and put six apples in a bag, along with some pears, strawberries, grapes, a head of lettuce, mushrooms, onions, scallions, and beets.

I then headed over to the check out line.

"Hey I'd like--Baro?" I say shocked as I see Baro at the cash register. "What are you doing here?" 

"Uh working..." he chuckles.
