Chapter 1: To Be Free

Kim Hye Ri's POV:

"Do you see anything?" My father asked peering closely over my shoulder at the screens.

I shake my head. "Nope nothing." 

But of course I didn't even check.

"Liar." my father says, "Check again."

I sigh, turning my head back towards the screen.

I spot the guys playing Blackjack.

They are all the usual types you'd fine at a high class casino like my fathers.

Slicked backed hair, black suits, formal ties, and pointy shoes.

Ugh...I hate pointy shoes.

But my eye suddenly catches something different. Or someone.

A guy younger than the rest, probably about my age.

He had his hair brushed upwards, unlike the other ahjussi's in this place.

Plus he was blonde, and was wearing casual clothes, not even.

He was wearing jeans that were ripped at the bottom, and an old flannel shirt that looked like it hadn't been washed in years.

Another thing I hate...unclean people.

And the worst fact about this unclean, and underdressed person was they were winning.

By a lot.

I watched their game, and he seemed to be hitting, standing, and splitting at the right time.

No way a guy like him could win...He must be cheating.

I hate cheaters. Not only are his clothes filthy, so are his ways.

I scrunch my nose in disgust watching him win game after game.
