Striding down the path of writing is long and treacherous, with the wind howling at you, and the soft murmurs of your forgotten memories that lurk at your side. Here, we take things differently in our endeavor to help ease the violent path. The only thing that matters to us is your story. We do not waste time on forewords, backgrounds, posters, anything like that; because it has no meaning if you are, in fact, going to write something. Beauty lies in the words on the page, not the art that hides its faults. And, we take this very seriously.

In fact, a little too seriously. We don’t expect perfection from you, however, we will tell you if your story, for lack of a better phrase, is lacking. Keep in mind we have very blunt opinions, and we will voice those opinions when we feel they are needed.

I've been writing for 6 years or so. As a writer I've been published once or twice, nothing big but hey it happened, and have experience with writing as well as working with authors. My writing style is rather blunt and so am I for the most part. Despite having written for a long time I'm not as great a writer as I wish I was, and am not diligent at all about actually writing. I have a tendency to not care all that much about my grammar or look back on errors of my own.

But that's me as a writer, as someone who reviews others works I'm meticulous. I'm also blunt, if I see something that doesn't fit, flow, or is off I will tell you about it. I don't suggest asking me to review your story unless you are prepared for the possibility that I will show faults you don't want to see. But I don't mean to do this in a cruel way I just believe in giving my god honest advice and opinions to those who wish it. I do not just focus on the errors in writing though and I will point out the parts you've done wonderfully on as well. With my reviews I hope to help give perspective and help advance other's writing. Feel free to ask me any questions any time.

I’m not really anything special, I just like to write. I have many weaknesses and not much strength when it comes to writing, but if I had an option of doing only one thing for the rest of my life, I would write. I am too attached to writing, which may or may not be a good thing. I’m very bad at switching tenses. If you have any questions, I really have no life, so don’t hesitate to ask.

I’m a very strict reviewer, who likes to look deeply into the characters. If they are not deep, I lose interest.

Is this plot good? It doesn’t have to be completely original, but does it have something that screams “look at me”? Or does it blend in? Is the plot interesting, does it speak to a wide-range of people? What are the major points? Can we tell? Does the story do its job?

Writing Techniques: /25

Does this story use proper writing techniques to convey depth to the story? Are the use of metaphors, similes, and foreshadowing relevant? Does the author have good grammar and spelling? How wide is the character’s range of vocabulary, and how does that pertain to the author’s goal?

Flow: /20

How is the flow of the story? Is it supposed to be choppy? How does the flow affect the story? Does it hinder the story? Are their problem areas?

Characterization: /50

How does the character’s portrayal affect the emoting factor of the story? Who is the character? Are they flawed? What are the main problems the character faces? Is the character deep? Are they relatable? Entertaining?
