“Jaesun,Jaemi. Your brother is here to take you home,” Park ajumma called.

“Jaesun? Jaemi? It time to go home now” a man wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap said

“Nooo! We shtay wif Eunae noona/eonnie!” the twins cried as they held onto my legs

“Ahhh. So you’re the infamous Eunae they cry for all day, every day.” the man said as he walked towards me smiling

“Uhmmm, yes?” I answered in a questionable tone

“Haha, figured so” he chuckled

“I actually want to talk to you about something, so would it be okay for you to take a walk with me?” he asked

I gave Park ajumma a look and she nodded.

Well, I don’t see a problem with it so…

“Why not?”

“Yay! Eunae noona/eonnie go home wif ush!” the twins cheered

We were walking down the sidewalk with an awkward silence filling the air. I should bring something up to break the silence shouldn’t I? Wait, didn’t he need to talk to me about something? Isn’t that why I’m here in the first place?

“Uhm, did you have to tell me something?” I asked

“Oh, yes! About that. Uhm, can you wait until we get to the house to talk? I have a…erhm…situation right now,” he replied

“Ah, sure. No problem! Haha…”

A situation? Uhmmm, well okay then…I’m not very sure how that keeps you from talking but all right! It’s none of my business anyway

"Please, have a seat," the man said

"Thankyou...," I trailed off since I didn't know his name

"I'm sorry. My name is Kyungsoo. Do Kyungsoo. I'm the twins' brother," Kyungsoo said

"I'm Song Eunae," I started before a loud crash was heard

We both looked towards the source of the noise to see an elderly man with a shattered plate at his feet looking very shocked.

"Hareboji, I didn't know you were here. I thought you had a meeting today," Kyungsoo said

It seemed that the elderly man didn't hear Kyungsoo at all. He walked towards us trembling. He walked past Kyungsoo and towards me. As he got closer to me, he raised a shaking hand to me and grabbed my left hand. He saw the ring on my finger.

"It's you...after all these years, I've finally found you. I thought you had..." he trailed off.

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" I asked

"You could say so. Your grandfather and I were best friends. We made a promise concerning you two." he continued

A promise concerning us? What could that be?

"Well, Hareboji did tell me it was a promise ring" I told him

" You're already betrothed."

"Really? To who?" I asked

"Kyungsoo" he chuckled

Kyungsoo and I were speechless and we stared at Hareboji.

"In fact, you've been betrothed since before you were born. Kyungsoo was just born before we made this promise. Could you both give me your rings?"

We complied.

"If you put them together with Kyungsoo's on top, then it makes this!" Hareboji said 

He held them up to show us. The two rings put together made a heart. Then he tilted a ring a bit so we could see inside

"Now, read it. It's not just your names"

"Kyungsoo and Eunae forever" we read at the same time

We were once again frozen and speechless in a stage of extreme shock.

This stuff only happens in dramas right?

"And there's one more thing I need to tell you both" Hareboji said

"And it's extremely important" he continued

"What is it?" we said simultaneoulsy
