Iseul took off her sunglasses, eyes twinkling with a sense of home sickness, inhaling the fresh air of Seoul she had missed for so long.
It had been exactly three years since she went to America to study. It had been a great experience, yes. But what was important was that she was back. Better than ever.
She happily dragged her heavily packed suitcase and called for a cab, tripping on the way.
Wait for me, Sehun-ah
Unfortunately, waiting seemed like it wasn’t in Sehun’s vocabulary.
All those hopeful thoughts were shattered as soon as she saw Sehun making out with a girl in his room. And she wasn’t even pretty!
His research papers scattered everywhere, pictures of him and his friends hanging on the wall, some falling off due to the cheap tape he always uses.
Everything stayed the same even after two years, everything except him.
Not even his hair stayed the same, he dyed his hair with this unexplainable shade of light blonde.
It seemed that she wasn’t welcome here anymore. Iseul stood there staring at the two figures eating each other faces out with her eyes b with tears.
But what could she say?
It’s not like they were still connected to each other. Their relationship is not the same as before. It all changed and she was afraid it was not going to be ever the same.
She was afraid it already ended before it could even start. If she knew that this was going to happen, she would’ve chose to have never left in the first place.
Though, it was already clear that Sehun already erased her existence from his life.
When Sehun finally noticed that there was someone watching him and his girlfriend making out, he turned around with a frown plastered on his face.
“MOM! CAN YOU JUST—“ he stops shouting midway when he recognizes the figure. How could he not? It was the girl he loved. And still does.
“When did you come back?” His eyes wide but he manages to find his words, though still unable to process the current situation. He couldn’t believe his own eyes.
She was back.
It was that she caught him at the most inappropriate moment.
Iseul ran away from the painful scene, causing for Sehun to push his girlfriend away and run after Iseul. Oh, what a bad boyfriend he was.
But he could not give a crap, Iseul was the one he loved and always will. He waited and waited but he got tired so he tried moving on, and it all turned out to be failures.
No one could just replace her.
Sehun managed to catch up with Iseul with his long legs which causes Iseul to mentally cuss about not being physically active.
“Please, let me explain!” Sehun says in between deep exhales, tired from running. Iseul doesn’t face him, which just infuriates him. He forcefully twists her body around so they’re now facing each other.
“I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT!” Iseul shouts in anger, eyes stinging with tears. How could she not be angry? She clearly told him to wait for her, but this is what she comes back to.
How dare he?
“YOU LEFT ME!” he retorts, voice filled with frustration, pain and wanting. Iseul just scoffed at him in reply.
“I TOLD YOU I’D COME BACK!” she snaps, voice cracking from the threatening of tears falling. She didn’t want to cry, not in front of this bastard. Not now.
Sehun closes his eyes and buries his face into his hands, as he sighs deeply in frustration. He steps closer to Iseul, and Iseul does nothing to close the distance between them.
“I still love you, Iseul.” Sehun says softly, and he means it. What comes next, was what he deserved. A hard slap across the face.
“Bull.” Iseul spat, feeling satisfied with the slap and started walking away, not turning her back.
Iseul opens her locker just to see a letter dropping down the ground. She groans inwardly. Iseul avoided Sehun as much as possible, but it’s not like it mattered anyway. Since he was with Mihyun all the time, like a dog.
She picked up the folded paper from the ground. It was the fourth time this week! Oh Sehun.
His first one came on a wednesday, Iseul didn’t expect it, really. Sehun would’ve never done anything this cheesy.
Iseul, please! Just give me one more chance.
And so Iseul decided to talk to him, since he even used this desperate method. But it didn’t turn out so great because he’s an idiot.
“Break up with her and I’ll think about it.” Iseul says coldly, refusing to show any kind of emotion at all.
“But I like her too!” he refuses, Iseul just replies with a roll of the eye. Then why bother asking me out again?
“I hope you have a beautiful relationship with Mihyun!” Iseul sarcastically says in glee as she walks away from the idiot.
“But I love you!” he whispers.
Then after that, Sehun leaves a message in her locker daily.
“Iseul, do you remember the day we had our first date? And I accidentally spilled orange juice on your dress because I was so shakily nervous of holding your hand?”
Iseul couldn’t help but smile on that one. She could still remember that memory vividly. It was too funny to forge-
WAKE UP! He thinks he can get back with me with his petty letters. Don’t fall for it Iseul!
His letters continue on coming, one after another. Until Iseul could pile it all up.
27, she counted.
The letters were filled with written memories they had she would never forget. She smiled at each and every one of them. And she didn’t know why she even bothered reading them.
She knew she still had feelings for Sehun, but she wasn’t willing to become a mere back-up whenever he gets tired of Mihyun.
One day, Iseul had to come to school earlier due to soccer practice. As she walked her way to her locker, she saw a hooded figure, creepily opening her locker and slipping something in.
She silently walked over to the figure and hit the back of his head hard with her thick textbook.
“YAH!” Iseul shouted at the pained figure down at the ground wincing in pain.
“What the hell was that for!?” that voice, Iseul can recognize from wherever. So this was the time when Sehun left the letters, huh?
“I’m still not giving you another chance, you know!” Iseul says, standing tall. She won’t be swayed that easily!
“But I still love you, Iseul!” he argues, with a pleading tone.
“I don’t want to share you with anyone else!” Iseul snaps, realizing what she said, she turns away from facing him. Heat rising to her cheeks.
What the hell am I saying? I’m supposed to be mad! She thought.
Sehun’s gaze softens as he turns to face her, reaching to caress her cheeks, “I already finished it off with her,” he says in a gentle voice.
Iseul looks up to him, “Really?” she asks, with a hopeful tone.
Sehun nods and smiles, leaning in slowly, “I realized, you’re the only one. I will ever love, Iseul.” He confesses, Iseul couldn’t help but melt, but she had to keep her cool.
“What if I told you I have to leave again? I’ll never ever forgive you if I see you making out with someone again!” she says accusingly, with a pout on her face.
Sehun just chuckles at her cuteness, “I’ll wait even for a thousand years—“ he promises. Iseul just rolls her eyes at her lovers lies.
“Don't tell promises you're not going to keep!” she sarcastically says with a smirk on her face,
“Whatever.” Sehun just rolls his eyes and leans in to claim her lips.
I'm not sure if this is what you wanted, but here it is! Please do tell me what you think about it! I'm still working on writing oneshots because I'm terrible at writing them :X
