She knows that Tao is a very open person who isn't afraid to show his feelings, but he doesn't show them as often to her. She thinks it's because he doesn't trust her, but in reality he just wants her to think he's "manly."
Details: Ami is very insecure. She just laughs it all off when it's mentioned though because she doesn't want to burden anyone. TaoxAmi = couple has just passed 6 months. this is one of their first "big" fights.
