The Endless Seasons

Description

Seasons.

They all represent different emotions, images, memories.

Each is different for every person.

Some might think of spring as the rebirth of the year, but others might beg to differ, stating, "Each spring is the death of a beautiful winter."

Summer might be associated with sweltering days filled with lively parties and excitement or as a quiet time for personal reflection.

Fall could be a sad time filled with wilting flowers and dying trees, or the breath of life during the year, completed with vibrant splashes of reds and oranges in the trees and purples in the wind.

Winter could be the bleak and dreary end of everything beautiful, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder; winter brings delicate snowflakes that decorate every home and frozen icicles that hang like diamond crystals.

They are endless and indescribable, melding into each other despite being dynamically different.

Each season is completely independent yet-- they are all one.

Foreword

The frigid gale blew relentlessly as the old woman hobbled down the sidewalk, clutching tightly onto the leashes that held onto her two dogs. The looked sadly at the fenced off park, as if reminiscing about the days where it was simply open fields for everyone, as if the old woman was young still, and the dogs were not bent with age.

People say that before a person dies, his or her whole life flashes before their eyes. Her life was like the seasons.

Author's note: This story was dying to be written so I had to put it down, even though I'm technically "on break." This story will probably have four parts :) and as you can probably guess, one for each season.

Chapter 5: I knew it...I'd be crying in the end. I really tried to ignore it but as I read the sentences, tears just automatically flowed. I love how you used the prompt - when Kris was saying that to her, it just really touched my heart.

And ugh, just a question, the cornea - did it come from Kris?

Sincerely, I have a lot of things to say, to emphasize, to point out. But all I could remember was the fact that I really did cry over the story.

I love this so much! Thank you for bringing such a wonderful fic here. I hope you'll be writing more tear-jerking, heartfelt stories! <3
