Greetings to you, from South Star Academy – where we prepare you for your child’s successful future. If you have not heard of us, we are a relatively new academy, but we are already in the top ranks of Korea. We believe that students should always keep their studies above all else, and that being successful is everyone’s goal in life.
This being said, we would like to invite your child to join our prestigious academy, where they will learn to strive through life. They learn to study well, and be able to become whatever they want to be! Please consider our offer. We handpicked the students that we thought would faire well in this environment. Our school fees do not exceed your salaries, and we would gladly offer financial aid if you qualify.
Along with success, they all strive to fit in with other’s expectations. It’s one of the cruel lies of reality – that fitting in is important. Teenagers' identities constantly belong to one another because they re-shape themselves into what people want them to be. In our school, they will learn to overcome the want to please people, and learn to only please themselves.

fitting in
Their eyes shifted from the letter to their child, who was calmly reading a book. Their kid had never really fit in at other schools, so this school would be great chance for them, wouldn't it? At school, they were poked fun at, or intimidated, and never once had a good day in their lives. Wouldn't this school be like a breath of fresh air?
Just to make sure, they approached their child and pat them on their head.
"How was school today, kiddo?" they asked.
The adolescent grimaced. "Today? Like always, I guess. Nothing really special or different happened."
"Couldn't you be a little more enthusiastic about school? Don't you have friends?"
"Friends are overrated. They are not always there for you."
"Well, aren't you a bit popular at school?"
"Being popular doesn't translate into having friends. And I'm not popular, in case you haven't noticed."
"But, didn't you talk to your teachers like we asked? You know, to help out with your problems?"
The teenager glared up at them as they abruptly stood up and stalked away.
"I don't have any problems!" they called over their shoulder.
The parents nodded their heads in unison, taking out the application packet to apply their child to South Star Academy.
