Chapter XVI – Happy Anniversary

“Seunghyun, get ready, the concert will start in five minutes” One of the staffs said to the zoning out Seunghyun.

“Seunghyun-ah, are you okay?” The female staff said as she taps Seunghyun’s shoulder waking him up from his trance.

“Oh, Sorry Noona, okay, I will” Seunghyun said and look at the mirror

He took his phone and checks it again.

Still no message or a call from her

‘What did I do this time?’ He thought and kneads his temples

This past few days Tiffany seem to be more irrational than ever. He hasn’t seen her for almost a month already. Only phone calls and messages were exchange between the two of them. And whenever they talk over the phone, they would end up hanging it after minutes due to the lack of subjects to be tackled and the atmosphere would be awkward already. So either Seunghyun or Tiffany would make an excuse that he or she needs to hang up already.

‘Or maybe I forgot about something again?’ He thought, so he checks his phone calendar. Since the last time he forgot about something, which is their anniversary, she ignored him the whole day even though Tiffany wants to celebrate it badly with him. She endured it.

‘Oh .’ He mumbled and slaps his forehead realizing he really did something erroneous.

‘How could I forget about our anniversary again?’

He quickly dialled Yuri’s number.

“Ne, Oppa?”

“Are you with Tiffany?”

“Oh, sorry Oppa, I’m not at home at the moment.”

“But you’ll go home, right?”

“Yes, I will after dining out with some friends”

“Well, it is just that I almost forgot about our Anniversary again, and I feel bad about it. I haven’t greeted her either.”

After telling Yuri his plans,

“Okay, Oppa, I’ll inform the other members about this”

“Thank you, Yul. I’m counting on you.”

“Seunghyun! What are you doing? The concert will start in a jiffy!”

“Okay” Seunghyun said and checks his phone wallpaper for the last time. It’s Tiffany’s picture. And smiles

“I told you he’ll forget about it.” Tiffany mumbled and lazily stirs her hot chocolate.

“Tiffany, wait for it more, four more hours before this day will end” Taeyeon said cheering her up.

Tiffany timidly smiles and sips the hot chocolate Taeyeon made for her.

“I think it is impossible, he would forget about it. And he is in a middle of his concert. Our special day isn’t that important for him. And whenever we talk over the phone, we seem awkward”

“Do you miss him?” Sooyoung asked

“Of-Of course” She answered and looks down

“Then why not call him and greet him later after the concert?” Sooyoung asked

“Ah, there is no way I should remind him. He should remember it at the first place.” Tiffany stubbornly said.

“I’m homeeeeeee!” Yuri exclaimed

“Yuri-ah!!” Tiffany whiningly said and hugs Yuri

“Fanny-ah!!” Yuri said and hugs her back

“What’s the problem with her?” Yuri mouthed

“Tabi Oppa” They mouthed back

Yuri nods in agreement

“Why, what’s the matter?” Yuri asked Tiffany after broking her hugs with her

Tiffany only shooks her head and pouts.

"Hwang Miyoung, you're like a little kid whose lollipop has been stolen" Yuri said in disbelief while looking at Tiffany

Tiffany glared at her and sticks her tongue out, stood up and walks to her room. And after Tiffany left them..

"Guys, Tabi Oppa called me a while ago" Yuri whispered

"Really?!" Sooyoung and Taeyeon both exclaimed

"And actually, he remembered his Anniversary with Tiffany. He's planning some surprises for her."

“Aww, that’s so sweet of him. I know he’s forgetful but he could be so sweet if he’ll always remember it.” Sooyoung said

“His plan is actually sweet” Yuri smiles mischievously

“Tell us Yuri! Stop being a cliff-hanger” Taeyeon complained
