“If there’s this one day, someone found out about you and me, what would you do?”

Chanyeol snuggled up closer to Kris. “Let them think what they want to think. I don’t care.”

Kris looked down at his lover. “Won’t they punish you or something, for dating a vampire, the King of vampires at that?”

“Screw them.” Chanyeol laughed at his own answer. He paused to think for a moment, “If they ever tried killing me, turn me.” He looked up at Kris’ baffled face. “You heard me right, I said turn me, into one of you.”

“You can’t be a sorcerer and a… vamp at the same time dummy.”

A soft chuckle escaped Chanyeol’s lips. Memories from decades ago came rushing back as he stayed cuddled up in Kris’ arms, on the very same couch, in the very same room. “Now, who was the dummy who said that I couldn’t be a sorcerer and a vamp at the same time?”

Kris pouted. He never pouted to anyone else.

“Well, Lou is one now, and he’s so mighty. I want to be like him, Kris.” Chanyeol flashed his signature goofy grin.

“Why?”

“So that I can wipe that annoying smirk off your face.”

“No.”

“Why?”

“You’re not supposed to be stronger than the King of vamps.”

“Egoist.”

“I’m supposed to be protecting you Chanyeol, how am I supposed to do that if you’re stronger than me?”

Chanyeol remained silent. Kris realized what he’d just said and went silent too. “I’m sorry Chanyeol. Perhaps, I wasn’t capable of protecting anyone at all.”

Chanyeol shook his head. He didn’t blame Kris. He couldn’t blame Kris. In fact, he had no memories whatsoever as to the events that took place ever since Yixing’d casted the spell on him. A part of him felt sorry towards Kris. He was a sorcerer yet he’d fell for another sorcerer’s spell. He blamed himself for not being able to pull himself out of the trance he was put in to.

But all their regrets, self-blaming and whatnots were kept to themselves – an unspoken pact, never to bring up any of the unhappy past.

“Let us start afresh, this time, I’ll stick to you even if you get sick of me Kris Wufanace.”
