“Really?! You’re amazing Jonguppie!!” Daehyun said and glomped onto Jongup, nestling his nose into his hair. Jongup blushed at the close contact but couldn’t help but smile a little to himself at the compliment Daehyun had just given him.

As much as Jongup’s mind was yelling at him for agreeing to such an idiotic task, something was telling him otherwise. He had had so much fun with him today and to be honest, he wanted more days like it. He mentally scolded himself for being so selfish and foolish but gut spoke for him. It was a done deal.

“You really are the greatest. Thanks so much” Daehyun smiled and Jongup’s hair. A light pink dusted itself across Jongup’s face and he chuckled.

“You’re really adorable when you blush you know that?” Daehyun winked. Jongup felt like fainting. These subtle sentences were like kicks to Jongup’s legs. He wasn’t sure he would be able to keep himself from standing. Jongup blushed more and played with the hem of his shirt. Thinking about dating Daehyun, even if it was for pretend, made him shy again. Not that he was fully confident before, but he was less nervous and timid.

“Y-yeah no problem.” Jongup gave a small smile. Daehyun hugged Jongup once again.

“I’m really glad to have a friend like you.”

Friend… Yeah we’re friends. Nothing more.

“Y-yeah” and for some reason Jongup felt dishonest agreeing.

“C’mon, I’ll walk you home.” Daehyun waved Jongup over next to him and held his hand.

“T-th-thank you” Jongup stuttered. Daehyun chuckled.

“No problem, let’s go.”

They walked in silence. Jongup couldn’t tell what Daehyun was thinking. He was staring at him trying to understand how the latter was feeling. He was so engrossed into his study on him that he didn’t realize Daehyun noticed.

“You really think I’m that good-looking huh?” he joked and raised his eyebrows. Jongup was flustered. He was embarrassed at himself for staring at Daehyun again and wanted to disappear in a hole somewhere far away.

“u-uh-uh. No I wasn’t s-staring! I mean yeah y-you’re very good-looking! Wait that’s not what I meant…” Jongup silenced himself before he furthered humiliated himself. His face was on fire and he had to look down in an attempt to hide it.

Daehyun on the other hand, stared at Jongup with wide eyes. To him, that was a pretty dramatic reaction, but none the less he found it sweet, just like how he found the rest Jongup to be. He smiled and lightly shoved Jongup in a playful manner before telling him he was just teasing. Jongup pouted and then Daehyun pinched his cheeks.

Finally they had reached Jongup’s house. They said their good-byes and right when Jongup was about to enter his house, Daehyun pulled Jongup for a light kiss on the cheek. He then gave Jongup smile.

“Goodnight Jongup” He turned around and left before Jongup could respond.

The dancer touched his cheek. It felt hot and his heart was beating fast.

The boy could feel the maknae’s glare burn the top of his head. Jongup was sitting at his desk staring at it, while Zelo was standing over him lecturing him. He didn’t even think how his friend would react at all.

“So…let’s get this straight hyung. The popular and not to mention super y Daehyun asked you out? But it’s just to get back at this Himchan guy because he took his girl? And to make things even more interesting, you agreed. Is that right Jonguppie hyung? You had the stupidity to agree? Why would you do that?!!”  Zelo shrieked frustrated. Jongup flinched at his friend’s anger. Even though Jongup was older, Zelo sure was scary when he was mad. And it’s been a while since he’s seen Zelo this mad.

Jongup played with his pencil on his desk. He didn’t have the courage to look up at his donsaeng.

“u-uh I don’t know why you’re so upset Z-Zelo…”  he muttered

“…really? You don’t know why I’m ing upset?! Argh! Jonguppie hyung! You are too dense.” Zelo cursed. He was fuming. His hyung was just being so dumb. How could he not understand his own feelings? Zelo looked at his hyung and noticed his eyes glisten. Zelo immediately gasped and scooped his hyung in a tight hug. Guilt was eating him up.

“Hyung, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to yell that much at you. I’m sorry.” The younger apologized and wiped Jongup’s silent tears.

“I’m f-fine Zelo. I just thought it’d be f-fun that’s all. Daehyun’s a really nice guy and I wouldn’t mind helping him out.” Jongup smiled weakly.

“But─”

“He’s a good person Zelo. And I want us to be good…friends” Jongup, for some reason, had trouble finishing his sentence. Zelo looked at his hyung sadly. Jongup just couldn’t see it could he? Zelo hugged him tighter.

“You’re too sweet of a guy Moon Jongup.”

Jongup hugged Zelo back and laughed dryly at the compliment. Zelo pulled away and looked at Jongup with pure sincerity in his eyes.

“I just don’t want you to get hurt hyung”

The remainder of the day was bland. Nothing special really happened. Jongup and Zelo just went through their day at school studying. Well more like Jongup taking some hardcore notes while the other napped.

But there was one certain someone that invaded the dancer’s mind every now and then. And that was Jung Daehyun. The certain other made his chest hurt. Like the same feeling he had last night. It made his chest feel as if something was tugging at it and squeezing it in an unpleasant manner. It was as if a wolf was clawing at his front and then stomping on him. Jongup frowned. He touched his chest. Maybe I should see a doctor about this.

Jongup sighed and tried to continue his work when he felt his phone in his pocket vibrate. Normally, being the good student he was, he wouldn’t have checked until the end of class. But he felt as if he couldn’t continue anyway for he was too distracted anyway. He carefully fished his out of his pocket and checked who texted him.

Jung Daehyun

Jongup jumped in his seat. In haste, he unlocked his phone and read the message.

From: Daehyun

To: Jongup

Hey I hope you’re not busy after school. Let’s go on a date~

A blush bloomed on his face. A date with Daehyun? Jongup pondered his schedule after school. He didn’t have any plans other than homework. But who cares about that huh?

From: Jonguppie

To: Daehyun

Sure. I have no plans. Pick me up after school? ^^

Daehyun smirked to himself. He imagined if Jongup was with him now, his response would have been more shy and stuttered. How cute. He thought to himself and smiled more.

“Oppa? What are you smiling at? Who are you texting?” the girl next to Daehyun asked and glomped on his arm.

“Huh? Oh just a friend. No worries.” He smiled and caressed the girl’s hair. The girl squealed in happiness and hugged her oppa tighter. The other girls around him whined at the lack of attention they were getting from Daehyun.

Jongup exited the building and was greeted with the sight of Daehyun waiting by the gates like the last time. He timidly waved and scurried over not wanting the older to wait any longer.

"H-Hi. So what do you have in mind?" Jongup looked up at Daehyun cutely, totally absorbed in childish curiosity. The singer laughed at his cuteness and messed up the other's hair making him pout...and blush of course.

"I was thinking about going to an amusement park or something. You know, somewhere exciting"

Jongup's eyes lit up. He loved rides and games. Daehyun noticed the change in demeanor and knew he chose the right place.He grabbed Jongup's hand and they walked to his car.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Wasn't that fun hyung?!" Jongup jumped up and down with adrenaline still left from the ride. Daehyun was suprised, he'd imagine the boy to be weak hearted for such intense roller coasters and spinning contraptions but it was quite the opposite. Jongup was absolutely infatuated with them. They both screamed on every ride, Daehyun from fun and fear while Jongup was purely from fun.

But Daehyun couldn't help but feel proud of himself. He had found an ultimate place in which Jongup had totally forgotten his shy and nervous personality. It had been thrown away and replaced with a hyper child and an adorable one at that.

"Daehyun...let's ride that one next!" Jongup pointed,eyes shining, at the large spinning swings that seemed to move at a billion mph. He gulped.

"uhhhhh Jonguppie, hyung's kinda tired. How about a break?" Daehyun tried

But, Jongup just knew how to push just the right buttons on him.

"But...I really wanted to ride that one with you now..." The boy pouted and looked at his feet. he began playing with his hands as if he was a kid that didn't get the toy he wanted.

...

There was just no way Daehyun could say no to Jongup. It seemed impossible.

"You know what? I'm not feeling so tired anymore. Cmon let's go before the line gets longer." he smiled and extended his hand out to the dancer. Jongup beemed at him and took his hand without hesitation as they rushed in line.

Sorry this took so long to update. I have a question. Do you guys like how the story is going? Is it interesting? Boring? Slow? Too fast? I would really appreciate your thoughts ^^  and also I will be going on vacation for a month. I don't know if I'll be able to update any time soon but surely during then i will be brainstorming the next chapter. Just a heads up that a new chapter might take a while. If anyone's confused to why daehyun was with a bunch a girls, remember he's popular and carefree. I think the next chapter will have more on the date. Mabye. I dont know. Are dates even interesting to read about?? Argh so confusing *flails arms around*
