A young man was walking down the dark alley. Throughout the day the weather had been unpleasant, cold and windy with big dark clouds up in the sky, ready to let their rain fall. And now that it had been already past midnight, it got even colder. A cold breeze grasped the dark haired man, making him putting up the collar of his trench coat. He pulled his scarf up to his nose and buried his hands into his pockets before he continued his way down the alley.

Click clack. Click clack.

It was silent and he could hear his own footstep echoing down the road. When suddenly he heard a metallic noise like if a dustbin had been falling over immediately his right hand left his pocket and wandered down to the shaft on his hip. With his right hand still on his Daewoo DP-51, the young man sneaked up soundlessly to the dark side road. At tit's corner he hid behind the wall and counted to three before he sneaked a peek.

The side road was short and ended in a blind alley. Rather than a road it was just a small alley, formed by the four- and five-storied apartment buildings of the main road which had been extended to the back. The renter of those apartments seemed to use this alley as their garbage dump. High piles of rubbish bags, metallic dust bins, which were already full, in between. And there, at the end of the alley he saw the back of a person.

The young man squinted his eyes, waiting for them to adjust to the darkness. And then finally he could make out that there were two people, a young and skinny woman..no she was a girl...leaning against the wall while a big broad-shouldered man stood in front of her, his right hand around her thin throat. He was whispering something to her and the girl answered with a choked voice. Her answer didn't seem to satisfy him as the big man shook her and slammed her head against the wall before he slapped her face.

“You little . Just because the boss had an eye on you doesn't mean that you can behave all high and mighty.”, he hissed with a deep voice which sounded more like a growling dog. “He won't come to save you. After all you betrayed him.” A laughter which sounded just purely evil. “Tell me where it is and you can continue living.”

The young girl snorted and spat in his face, her eyes glinting like fire.

“Never.”

The young man admired her boldness but it only led to another slap into her face. The girl gasped, her head flung to the side and hit the wall. Blood was dripping down from one corner of .

“Fine. I wanted to be nice to you...but I changed my mind.”

With his one hand still on , the big man started to pull at her thin dress. The sound of ripping fabric. The girl started wriggling, kicking, scratching but as he tightened the grip around her movements slowed down.

“You didn't want it the other way, dear. Now take the consequ...argh”

Suddenly the grip around loosened and the big fat hand glided down . Through the tears that were blurring her sight the girl only saw the big man falling on his knees before his face landed on the ground. A hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her out of the alley.

“Come on. He will wake up soon.”, a nice and warm voice told her.

She started running with her saviour, running down the alley. Though her feet and limbs felt all numb the girl just kept running, feeling the warm and safe grip around her wrist.
